Don't know, Phil.

I have a PS2 myself, never took to it. I think that Playstation games are rubbish. The technology is very old and the games themselves are repetitive, too expensive and rely far too much on boring flashy pre-rendered movie sequences.

The new Star Wars RTS game is made by some of the chaps that worked on Command and Conquer, and it looks good.

I agree ,I think the pc games look stunning etc  but unless its command and conquer (point and click) im lost playing on a keyboard. Ive had many joypads on this pc and theyve been totally non responsive.
Theres a tribute to command and conquer surfacing soon i hear, a variety of the first 10 yrs on one disc. :buttrock bring it on

Yeah, its all the C&C games in one collection.

There is a new C&C game in development as well.

Battle for Middle Earth 2 is coming out next month and thats very similar to the C&C games.

As for gamepads, you can get an adapter for the PS2 pad that will work perfectly on PC (I have one) and the Xbox360 pad will also work.

I have one too - got it from Game for about a tenner - works excellent on most Console type games like PES 5 and LOTR.

Just finished playing through COD 2 - and what a game that is. It's filled with so many memorable moments and I thought I could never say this, but the beach landing at Pointe du Hoc beats MOH Frontine's beach mission hands down - it really feels like you are in a war as there is so much going on.

My PC ain't even that hot - the game has made that much of an impression that I would even buy a 360 and an HD telly to get the most out of that game - IMO it's that good.

With that out of the way, i'm moving onto Resi 4 on the PS2 and finishing GTA: LCS on the PSP. The next purchase will be 24 - the demo is exactly like the series and the reviews are good.  :)  :)  :)

I can play CoD2 at max Dx9 settings at 1600x1200 with 4AF/16AF and boy is it a pretty game! Probably shades the Xbox360 version.

No demo yet but there are previews on the net.

Looks great. Everthing is bigger and better, and the graphics are a huge improvement.

That article is disengenous: Far Cry was released on the PC two years ago, and Far Cry Instinct Predator has yet to be released on the Xbox360.

You cannot compare the two as they are two different games from different times. Modern PCs can render the waves seen in the Xbox360 version.

In the summer we'll see DX10 graphics cards and multi core processors for PCs which will exceed anything the 360 is capable of. At the moment the 360 is roughly equivalent to a very high end PC.

The 360 is a brilliant piece of kit and amazing value but I'm not going to buy one anytime soon as I think that the games on it are simply too expensive.

I agree about the price of games though if you get them off ebay their £30-35 which ain't too bad but places like game are still charging £44.99-49.99 which is steep  :(

I've sold COD2 and PDZ so I've just got PGR3 and DOA4 cos I never play anything else apart from those two, I'm really excited about Ghost Recon 3: Advanced Warfighter  :buttrock

How do you think the PS3 will do, Paul?

Sony are the big daddies, but the 360 is very good and its hit the market early. Some of the games planned for release are class.

I'm going to buy Oblivion next month on the PC. Its more of a PC game than a console game but its promising to be brilliant. Have you heard much about it Paul?
