Since when statistics gather the info about how good the movement of a striker is? Do you realise this is not basketball? Haven't you read all the threads concerning Morientes, Crouch and Cisse? if you have, why do you ask why we vote who we want? Have you seen a top football match in a Stadium ever?
Thank you.

Statistics are important, yes, but you must read them with care. In football "an assist" is not always the most important pass in the play, there are passes and movements that as you say cannot be measured but by a human eye. Statistics must be read with care, Torres numbers say "7" goals this season in the liga, better than Morientes, but with 4 penalties thrown by him, is that much better? In my book no, and some statistics simply don't gather this info.
sabre wrote:Do you want to know what I think about counterattacks? Well, in my book a good counterattack must have the ball running, not the players. The first thing you are tought in school football is: In a counterattack don't run with the ball, pass it quickly. You can't expect always to have the fastest strikers to beat in pace the fastest defenders of the league, so a fast forward is always nice to have (but if he finishes well of course) but IT IS NOT a must. Otherwise probably only the best teams with the fastest players could play a proper counterattack right?
Curiousity i guese,am sure everyone else here wouldnt mind to know why sabre voted for morientes
