We don't actually have any striker

Morientes, Crouch and Cisse, premiership appearances 53...goals 10.
has to be the worst record ever. :no
There is no-one anywhere in the world at any stage who is any bigger or any better than this football club.

We have scored less goals at this srtage in any other season in the prem!!

We also have more points at this stage than ever before!!

This says aloud that there is not a lot wrong!!

Come on Robbie get yourself fit lad and pronto!

If Raffa signs a R/W at season end and a good striker there will be nothing wrong and we will be up there next year challenging with Chelsea!!

Yeah Fowler needs to get fit quick!

The only thing about Fowler not being included in the squad on sunday was that in the interview with Sky Rafa hinted that he wanted  to be able to name 18 man squad opposed to a 16 man squad, he said if this was the case Fowler would of been included. It suggested to me that, along with his lack of fitness, Fowler was left out on merit to. It seems that Rafa picked the strongest squad he could choose. Maybe Rafa values fitness over talent sometimes? I just thought Fowler could of added 'something' to the game.  ???

I think Rafa is looking at our stiker(less) situation - he did bring Robbie back!  And I think he is continuing to look.  I wouldn't be supprised if Nando and Cisse left during the summer, and 2 new strikers came in - a youngster, and an experienced "proven" striker.  He knows we arn't scoring enough goals - he's said it himself - so I expect he'll be looking.

After watching the match yesterday I was as livid with our strikers as everyone else. I cannot understand why someone like Crouch with his height advantage cannot get a header on target fron 6 yards out but when you actually look at it, we can totally dominate teams in midfield but the service into the box is abysmal. Finnan's crosses 9 times out of 10 are terrible. I think if we had a good rm who can get the service our strikers need we would see a more potent force.

What a pile of cr@p.
lets all get at crouch when the lad is linking the midfield to attack and one of the reasons gerrard has scored so many this season,

we are short up front and crouch dosn't attack the ball well in the air . true

we need owen or defoe to play off him. fowler in the squad to produce a cylincal touch when needed.

cissie and moro are gone and they both know it,my biggest worry was loaning out pongolle he could do the job off crouch now and has turned games when need from the bench.

but after all this we are still playing better football than i have seen in years, and the progress is there for every one to see even yesterday , we out played the dominant force in the epl

but crespo is quality and we need players of his calibure to go fowards

Aye, this is Liverpools main problem at the moment, they put in good performances but the lack of any real quality strikers is letting our continual progress down.  But dont you think Rafa knows this, it's all in hand, Im not worried, I've complete faith in Rafa he's the man our club has been waiting for. :bowdown

I'm very sure both Cisse & Moro will go in the summer. Rafa is not stupid, he knows it. But he can only get rid of them AFTER he signs the quality striker that we need. Fowler is a stop-gap measure until summer - at least he can score but how many matches will he start with his current physical condition? Rafa needs financial support from the board. If he wants Kuyt and/or Defoe, the board must support his decision and show him the $$$. There's only so much Rafa can do, the rest is up to the players to produce the goods. If the players are not up to standard, then they must be shipped out and then new players come in.

On a positive note, at least we look ok in the other dept, with the exception of RM - we need Gerrard in CM with Alonso. Kewell is improving with every game. Rafa is still building and we should give him time. I'm 110% confident that Rafa will win us the title! YNWA!!!  :buttrock

Just got to wonder how cagey Rafa is when it comes to the transfer market. He has spent bugger all money. Is he saving it for something, or is he just someone that refuses to pay big money for any player?

My buddy living in Spain says he's saving the money for Fernando Torres and Morientes is going the other way in the summer.

I saw his goals at barcelona on the weekend. He'd give a football lesson to the likes of Terry and Ferdinand.

Gerrard has only scored 7, and I can only remembered Crouch setting up 1 goal for Gerrard.

if crosses are terrible, crouch won't get his head to the ball. the problem is...his heading is awful..he must work on it.

Agree with that.
