is that not including chelsea's two disallowed goals as well?

Short answer ........ YES .

Until Chelsea stuck one in we looked odds on (imo) to win the game .

Just a pity we dont actually have anyone in the squad to finish a game off isnt it woof?
There is no-one anywhere in the world at any stage who is any bigger or any better than this football club.

Crouch said on the LFC website:

" we have nothing to fear versus chelsea"

Apparantly , his only concern was putting out one of the floodlights with one of his headers.

Crouch is an embarresment....hav u seen him play for Liverpool...a few bad games does not make you an embarresment  :no

But i do agree with you that we should go for Defoe he would would be a brilliant signing

So your saying people dont laugh at the fact that our main striker has the touch of a horse?

i agree.........creating so many chances every game and not putting them away is the primary reason Chelsea are where they are and we are 20 odd points behind.

woof............kicking a ball against a lamp post is spot on,like i said before the lad is great at holding the ball up........but he cant head a ball which i'm sure at 6ft 7 is the main reason we bought him....

well fed up now - I thought we were ready for this game, and we weren't. You might say there's some consolation in claiming that we controlled the game for long periods, but isn't that what relegation threatened sides say? Now we have a lot of difficult games coming up, and we go into them with doubts about whether the side is actually good enough. The only consolation for me is that its only a month since we were on a massive roll, and hopefully we'll get that back sooner rather than later. As for Stevie G, I really hope he isn't sulking about having to play on the right for the rest of the season, cos we didn't sign the urgently needed right midfielder - if he isn't on his game we are in trouble......

really disappointed fan....dont want to slag off the team or manager...... we are a quality team missing two goal machines....i imagine if we had tevez and owen we would win alot more of the bigger matches....we dont struggle to win the less important matches becus we get more chances so our midfielders grab the odd goal..........We'll be grand , just hope we dont slide down past utd or even spurs!

for crying out loud everybody!! we lost a game against the current strongest team in the premiership having played better than them for long periods. its not the end of the season and its not a disaster, in fact anyone who expected us to go there an win was seriously deluded. a point would have been great and in many ways we deserved one.

i'm of the same opinion as many that if we'd had a decent striker in there we'd have come out of the game a lot better off, but am i f*ck going to blame crouchy for that. the lad has played his own game pretty well again but everyone knows he is not lone striker material. i can only wonder what someone like errr.. for example... robbie fowler would have done with some of the balls he knocked into dangerous areas.

and that pitch was a joke. it highlights the kind of solid but unsophistictaed football chelsea play as its impossible to play anything other than route one physical football in such conditions. i'm not blaming it for our loss but i think it was disgraceful.

but nowhere near as disgraceful as that f*cking w*nker robben's behaviour to get pepe sent off. the sooner that kind of disgusting nonsense is punished severely and banished from football the better.

watch his goals in the CL final and his goal today plus the one that wasnt given when he was ONside............best striker  around for my money

I would never disagree Crespo is not quality however I just don't think he has been as consistently good as Henry has in the Prem.  Granted he hasn't had the same time in the prem the last couple of years, but Henry with his pace, skill and shot not to mention his consistently good performances (except this year) clinch it for me.

Henry is a choker in the "big" matches and when it really matters.

Crespo has proved it in the hardest leagues in the world and at the absolute highest level.

For me, Crespo is better.

Those who disagree must only watch the Premiership.

You're one of the few that has spoken sense in this thread. Chelsea haven't lost a game at Stamford Bridge since their defeat to Arsenal, in 2003. As much as I hate the fact that we lost, I knew that we were going to lose today.

This season has always been about progression and I think we've made progress, far more than anyone has expected. However theres still work to be done, today's game emphasizes that. We controled certain parts of the game but when the chances came to Chelsea they took them. Thats why they won the Premiership last season, and thats why they'll win it again.

Too many people had blind optimism about this game. Time to move on to the next game and try to redeem ourselves.

Crespo is a quality finisher, one of the best finishers in football today. As far as who performs in important matches more, than it has to be Crespo over Henry.

crespo is a nice player , born finisher  qaulity quality but im not in an agreement that Henry chokes in big games,
did he not score a cracker out of nothing against an Irish side last september??? which ultimately finished ireland off in that group... he won that big game for his country with sheer brillance !

henry is in a different galaxy to the rest of strikers around i am afraid to say

We're talking about club football. International football is not important when it comes to the club. Milan Baros proved that last season.
