LFC VS CHELSEA - Build up...

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Ive got the flu and a sore nose, PAH  Im goin to bed feck it. Cant be @rsed. Knew we would'nt win anyway. But we where very unfortunate again today.
Rafa's biggest mistake was NOT buying a striker in the transfer window.
I know weve got Fowler but he is 30 and unfit, but then again probably better than whats on offer out of the current 27 million pounds of strikers we have on offer now.
Good night.

We definitely need to get Micheal Owen back to play alongside Robbie Fowler next season. What's the point for midfield players fighting all around the pitch to provide good balls to the strikers, who can't even get a shot on target in such a high profile match ?

Crouch is an embarresment

If you are tall guy, when you head the ball ALWAYS head at " Shoulder " level so the ball wont "go" up. BUT when he head the ball, he head upwards , that's way the ball always goes up. Simple basic heading coaching .

On a bright note, Mark Gonzalez came on for Real Sociedad and scored an 84th minute winner in their 2-1 victory over Real Mallorca.

WE WEREN'T GOOD ENOUGH, GET OVER IT

A great display from our lads , with a bit more of a cutting edge we could've taken the game .Chelsea were definitely on the back foot until they scored , after that they gained in confidence and a draw was the best we could hope for .......... It wasn't to be .

I think 2-0 was a bit harsh , I think only the odd goal is the real difference betwen us and Chelsea.

Final word , Peter Crouch  ? Won so many headers that I lost count ,pity so many of them had the same result as kicking a ball against a lamp post . Found myself screaming for Rafa to sub him for Morientes .

Totally true Misty mate, totally p.issed off we where better than them today but still lack some quality, upfront and on the wings.
Until these problems are sorted out, we wont get further.
But the saying goes once you turn professional you are no longer a fan, I think thats true.
Watch everton get through to the F.A.Cup and beat Chelsea.
Feck it cant be @rsed anymore sick of repeating the same thing of we need some goal scorers :sleep

is that not including chelsea's two disallowed goals as well?

trouble is, the same problems will arise , versus charlton on wednesday, and wigan on saturday. Depending on fowlers appearance or not, of course.

Both games I might add, we need to win to stand any chance now of finishing second. f*cking up your games in hand is not a good idea.

Im expecting our midfield to score the goals...gerrard/ alonso/ riise/ garcia.

when is rafa going to realise that warnock is not good enough at this level, riise should have started there.he caused the second goal by keeping crespo onside,as for our forwards well less said the better.we have not beaten man utd, chelsea, arsenal in the league now and with our forwards i dont think we will get second place now???

Short answer ........ YES .

Until Chelsea stuck one in we looked odds on (imo) to win the game .
