And if he manages to break Lucas Neill's leg in training, then it won't be an entirely bad move. :;):

I would prefer cisse going out than pongo. Anyway he's going out on loan and he's definitely coming back this summer.

if cisse was not that expensive, we would probably loan him instead of sinama, loaning cisse would drastically sink his price, so looks like it's the only strategic option remaining albeit being 'unacceptable' to many

I think that's good move ( On loan ) for him and futhermore we just sign the GOD. He will be a better player and maybe will replace Cisse for next season.

i can understand you lot being :censored: off  as flo is a wonderfull player...but its only a loan deal...rafa will not sell flo  the loan deal was just to give him some first team football as that would have been limited with the arrival of king ROBBIE FOWLER  maybe with the world cup in the summer rafa was giving him every chance to make it into the french squad...but im also :censored: off  ???

Don't understand this one either. I didn't think he was that far down the pecking order.

good luck pongolle, see you in red next season.

i can see the both sides here. if he gets experience in a so-called 'physical' side like blackburn and improves his stamina etc...it can only be a good thing. the lad would be fed up on the bench anyway and that would do nobody any favours.

ie. if he shows he can handle the rough stuff consistently (injuries notwithstanding) rafa may decide its time to come back and make the position his own. therefore heralding the obvious....
however if he struggles at rovers, the club have him assessed from a distance with no cost to ourselves ON the pitch, and its time to move on. probably back to france.

that is however, assuming pongolle will GET many games there?

it looks similar to the le tallec case.

the one thing that gets my back up, is when pongo plays in the champions league, which is not so much 'slower' than the prem, as more technical. he shines..... ??? (he hasnt done too bad in the league to be honest) but thats where i see his impact and surely a major plus has now been wiped from our hand.
bearing in mind the business end of the tournament is about to kick-in. and lets face it, he has come up with the goods when required in that respect. i dont know, but another poster mentioned the fact of bumping up the players value prior to a sale. that may also be the reason why.

either way, i wish him well its just a pertinant shame when you look at the options for europe that include crouch, morientes and cisse....is that going to be enough  ???

To be fair lads, Sinama must of agreed to the deal? He is going to want to play every week, that ain't going to happen here at the moment.

And seeing as we didn't sign any wingers I think Rafa is intending on playing Cisse on the right more frequently. At least he won't cost us in front of goal.

I think he's said to Sinama to go, get first team football and come back ready to make a name for himself.

Fowler MIGHT not earn a new contract and Cisse WILL DEFINATELY be sold this summer barring a miracle. I think he's loaned Flo out as Cisse MUST play to keep his value relatively stable and he's currently not a better player than Fowler, Morientes and Crouch.

He would ideally be thrid or fourth choice but i think its Cisse's circumstances thats dictated him being "fifth" choice, hence the reason he's gone on loan till the end of the season.

There is a possibility that next season he could come back with Crouch being the only recognised striker should Fowler not do the business, Morientes continue to fail and Cisse not counting as footballer.
