With staff and fans, and probably with other squad players, who, will be the most frustrated of the lot. Sorry, don't follow the white rabbit, take your blue pill and come back to reality. LOL

Cisse reminds of what someone said a few years ago when Andy Cole was dropped by England.. It was stated that he needs too many chances to score! Cisse is like this! Plant a fooking tree in the 6 yard box and eventually a ball will go in off it.... I honestly don't care if Cisse never again played for us! In fact it might send a clear signal to the rest of the "strikers"...If you ain't good enough, you're history!"

I think we should field a strong team against pompey but we should also give playing time to other important members of the team and rest some first team regulars.
What would be the use of having a player if you do not play him?

This would be the best team considering that we are still challenging for the title and the champions league;the aim being to keep all players fresh and match fit for the challenges ahead:

-----------------------Carson-----------------------------
Kromkamp-------Carra--------------Agger-----------Traore
Pongolle--------Hamman------------Gerrard---------Kewell
--------------------------Garcia--------------------------
-------------------------- Cisse---------------------------

subs:crouch,alonso,sissoko,warnock and morrientes

full time scoreline:portsmouth:0 Liverpool:4

Goal scorers:Garcia(27),cisse(36),crouch(80) and gerrard(89)

Your opinions are pathetic, not even laughable and I really wonder why you post if you actually know nothing about soccer.

You could be crazy not to start Crouch with the current form that he is in, he has had more of an impact that any other striker over the entire season (yes, even when he wasnt scoring).
Cisse should be on the bench and earn his spot by playing as a sub and trying to make an impact, he doesnt deserve a place in our 11.

Portsmouth away will not be a push-over, I dont think that Rafa will change 4 out his 5 defensive players (including goalie)

It really makes me sad   I think that in some circumstances, an executive panel of senior members could make decisions to allow the banning of a member based on the fact that he is an idiot

Espionage, first of all, its football, not soccer!!! secondly, there is mehtod in his madness. We have a mad run of games coming up and im sorry to say this but fa cup isnt highest on the list, its a distant 3rd. so we need to rest some players. and hypia is one of these players. Also carson needs a run out.

id personally play a very similar game, use garcia ina  free role, bung pongolle on the right, start with alonso and hamman in the middle, risse on the left.

and why not let cisse have a run at pompey? Pompey see this as a game they could do without and altho for confidence they need to win cisse will be able to exploit the poor defence.

and mad not to start crouch with the current form he is in. have u seen him the lat 3 games? Cisse aint the only one having a shocker lately

I'm not bothered about the FA cup, I'd prefer if we rested our main players and saved them - we've some big games coming up soon.

Defeat by Burnley last year probably helped us win the Champions league.

hes under pressure anyway.......he took the job with pressure written all over it.Hes already being told if they go down he will be given the chance to bring them back.........

but anyway this match has total irrelevance to that anyway and gives Portsmouth a chance to go out and enjoy themselves with no pressure on.

I'd go for this team - we NEED to rest players.

                                                        Carson

Kromkamp                            Hyypia                   Agger                         Warnock

                                                       Hamann

             Sissoko                                                                       Kewell

                                                       Garcia

                                              Crouch           Pongolle

It's blatently obvious to me that our most effective strike partnership is the above two.

Hamann, Garcia and Kewell need to play for fitness reasons.
Kromkamp and Agger impressed in the reserves.

I've included Hyypia as he's been rested a damn site more than JC, who, as far as I am aware, is still recieving injections in his foot.

If all goes well with Agger, I'd rest Hyypia vs Birmingham.

This looks like its going to be a much easier game than first thought now. I thought Pompey would be difficult because of all their new signings and new owner. However there on a poor run and according to many reports are down to their bare bones squad wise, due to injuries. Mis fit striker Karadas is set to play centre half!!!  Come on the REDS  - The Rafa-lution rolls on!!

FROM BBC.
Link- http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/fa_cup/4634312.stm

Portsmouth captain Dejan Stefanovic has recovered from a bruising to his cheekbone, although his damaged ankle in causing concern.

Noe Pamarot has a hamstring injury, while Dean Kiely may make his debut.

Jose Reina is expected to take over in goal from Scott Carson, who played in the third-round win over Luton.

Boudewijn Zenden (knee) remains a long-term injury victim, but Luis Garcia is not expected to be involved as he recovers from a knee problem.

---------------------------------------------------

Looks like garcia is still out unfortunately.. :(

I would like to see this team out tommorow-

................reina
finnan...hyypia...agger....warnock
kromkamp...alonso....sissoko....kewell
...........crouch....sinama

i would expect rafa to put out a strong team tommorow, as we all dont want a repeat of last year.
i'd like to see kromkamp and agger in the team to see what they can do.

That's unfair for Cisse . Im angry too but Cisse a good player. He should start more game ( Rafa loves to play Nando and PC more often )  and played in the position that he wants but not as Right wing.

Why do so many people think that Cisse has not had a fair crack of the whip?
hes had more than enough games to prove his quality sadly hes only proved his lack of it, enough is enough hes a poor excuse for a 14mil player, Rafa will use him until he goes, but in a limited way, if robbie hits the ground running (and he will)
cisse will find himself as a perminant sub until rafa gets shut in the summer,
ive said it before that even if cisse had to play in goal he still should be able to control a football, so the hes been played out of position does not wash,
Houlier must have got a cracking bung for inflating this very average players value out of all proprtion to his ability

:p wow thats alot of games coming up

-- so we will need to rest players but it would be an oportune time to allow some players to gel

rest finnan, carra, riise, alonso, gerrard

must play kewell(needs more games) sissoko (needs games to learn) hamman (needs playing time) nando (needs to get some goals

so i'd start
                              carson

kronkamp           aggar       hyppia        warnock

garcia               hamman     sissoko       kewell

                      nando         crouch

subs:  gerrard, carra,  pongo,  riise,  riena

the right side could be suspect but its still strong down the middle -- note NO CISSE still 3 days to send him back to france

it would be nice to win the fa cup but the champion's league is just so much more important from a financial viewpoint thus rest more players -- should be able to beat pompey but harry is a real good manager
