Dodgy goings on? - Thick groundsmen/or cunning?

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Anybody see or hear this about the groundsman at half time heavily watering the half that Scum were attacking but not watering the half that we were attacking. Dodgy goings on or what? Call me bitter if you want, but, does it stretch the saying ' home advantage'.

The FA surley have to make some action on that. Whether it was to an advantage or not. We've got to complain about it. And you never know (a long shot) the points may be overturned.

they wouldnt be. Imagine if we'd done it and they took the points off us. Would love it but, no way.

I was at the game and your half right about the watering of the pitch.......

They did water the half that LFC were defending but towards the end of the half time break they did put the sprinklers on in the other half but only from the half way line to the edge of the penalty box....

I think that the FA should be asking them for an explanation but the FA might find it hard tospeak to Sir Andrex with their lips stuck to his a.r.s.e :D

watering the pitch makes it play faster and as their were attacking wanted the ball to skim along the ground quicker

I heard this on Sunday night from a few of the lads who had been to the match.  Can't change nothing now though can you?

I've already moved on from this, you have to otherwise it ruins you.  I was devastated on Sunday night, it really ruined my night and it felt like a proper kick in the b*ll*c*ks.

I had soon forgotten about it though by Monday morning.  I realised that we really must have Manchester United worried.  As in our heart of hearts we know we are better than them and don't need a last minute goal to tell us this fact, they know in their heart of hearts that even if they have scored a last minute goal and won the match, they are still an inferior side to us and the time is fast approaching where it's going to be a very long time before they can claim the bragging rights come the back end of any season in the future.

As the old clichéd saying goes, "We may have lost the battle but we'll win the war."

This is clutching at straws of the highest order.

We lost the game, get over it.
