Can't quite belive we couldn't organise a cash plus player/s deal for Anelka ,can only assume Rafa didn't want him .
Pity :(

Dudek
Finnan                                   Traore
             Hyypia          Carragher
                     Biscan
Garcia             Hamann            Riise
                    Gerrard

                     Baros

I just used this formation on Champ Man. and I did really well (I won the CL and the Prem, what a brillient game for dreamers like me). When I look at it, it fits in well with our injuries/CL-availability. With Gerrard in a free role, and two wingers that can also cut inside and take good shots, attacking options are good and the Jam/Sam combo at the back is also nice. Kewell and Mellor can both be stuck up front if we want. I know it's only CM, but it looks like a good option in real life. Bad Management has nothing to do with our situation and it just goes to show that we do not need Anelka (although it would be nice). So let him enjoy his Turkish delight, we'll be sipping spanish sangria, some time soon.

Anelka plays for himself, and we do not need him in the long term. I bet you he moves on within a year.

I'll go one better and say he moves at the end of this season.

Most good strikers have a selfish streak .
Do agree however that he won't last long in Turkey , wouldn't even suprise me if he fails to agree personal terms and remains in England .

I'm not much of a Champ man person myself I have to say. I did used to be quite into the old Subbuteo in my younger days though. I think I might bob down the shops this aft' and see if I can't pick up a 'club' edition. I'll try a couple of formations out and post up how they all work out. I'm sure you'll agree it'll be very informative. I always did find it very realistic despite the fact that most games are won 17-14. Like I say I'll let you all know.
Trouble is, the results are less reliable when you are playing with yourself if you know what I mean.

Do they still sell Subbuteo? I thought that it went the same way as Mechano! Go for it man. We should have a competion to find out which one is more realistic; CM or Sub. Although if your scores go to double figures, maybe we should get some other people to get round the table top

 :) :D

First, i can tell that i'm really happy..

After van Hooijdonk's injury and false treatment, we do need a striker of a good quality and we got him now.

People who are interested in world football know that he always has lots of problems and he isn't a long-term player, but we need his assistance in UEFA cup..

That's why we want him...

"ANELKA JOINS FENERBAHCE

Nicolas Anelka has completed his switch from Manchester City to Fenerbahce after passing a medical.

Anelka, who will partner former Celtic and Nottingham Forest frontman Pierre van Hooijdonk, wore the number 39 shirt as he was paraded at a press conference in Turkey following his £7million move.

Anelka, 25, has signed a three-and-a-half-year deal with an option for a further 12 months."
