THE NEW LFC TRANSFER RUMOUR THREAD - Yes it's silly season time again folks

Liverpool Football Club - The Rumour Mill

Postby Redman in wales » Wed Jan 11, 2006 4:38 pm

"Denmark defender Daniel Agger arrived at Liverpool on Wednesday to discuss personal terms on his move from Brondby, according to reports.
Liverpool have refused to comment but the Danish club told BBC Sport that Agger did not join his team-mates at a training camp on Wednesday.

The 21-year-old is a long-time Reds target but the move almost fell through when Brondby raised their price.

However, the two clubs are now thought to have agreed a £5.8m fee.

If the transfer goes ahead, Agger will become the second defender to join Liverpool in January after the capture of Jan Kromkamp from Villarreal.

The Dane is due to join up with his country's under-21 squad for a two-week training camp in Chile on Monday."

Walcott is the other player to be revealed with aggar.Believe me this time i have it right, these are the only two signings we are making from today.Walcott is getting pushed straight into the right wingers slot he is that good, rafa is licking his lips at two of the youngest hot players around for there positions.Neil Mellor is part of the deal with around 7m fee.

Still, Walcott's reputation is very good, although you say getting pushed straight into the right wingers slot?

Doubt it very much, he's only 16.  He'll be nurtured in the reserves if Benitez signs him.

Anyway, pinch of salt as always.

johnny mac this lad is that good, all the stories he's a red and allways been a big fan of Liverpool are true but he wants to play first team football, He will not be signed to be pushed in the reserves trust me Just look at Rooney, the lad burst onto the scene at around the same age, He won;t play every game but he will play most if your good enough age doesn't matter so fingers crossed it comes off.Its what i heard today his dad has also had a say in where he wants his lad to go, Nobody though amir khan would turn profesional but he did.

LOL.

Walcott looks like the sort of player who would suffer from burnout if played as a first teamer at this age. If he isnt protected he will suffer from serious injuried when he gets into his 20s.

So I dont think even if we do get him he would be a first teamer.

I think someone is telling porkies!

So has rooney suffered burnout at a young age or looks like he will suffer burnout, "No i haven't noticed it happening"
I'm sure he would be looked after, Imagine though by the age of 18 or 19 this lad was the talk of football and he had a tag of 25m on his head what a gem we would have on our hands.
If a player is that good at such a young age why hold him back all he wants to do is play, look at owen nothing phases these players at such a young age they don't feel pressure just play what they love and show the talent that was given to them, these are a one off. I just hope it comes off it could be some deal..............

Like I said, Walcott looks like the sort of player who would suffer from burnout if he was overused as a youngster. Where did I mention Rooney? They are a "different sort of player", Walcott relys heavily on his pace, like a certain Michael Owen. If you look at his running style he is likely to suffer from hamstring stains and shin splints, espically at this age, so over using him is likely to cause problems in the future.

I suggest you read posts properly before replying.

There is no-one anywhere in the world at any stage who is any bigger or any better than this football club.
