I think welsh wizzard has lost his touch, he doesnt even name a center half, he just says center half, not good enough WW we know we will sign a center half but we need names!!

The Kraft family will be investing money in Liverpool very soon. It is unclear how much money Rafa will be given to spend. Look for major signings in the summer. Liverpool will have to sell players in January if they go after Joaquin/Vincente. Look for Simao, Upson, & Agger to join in the next transfer window, with "fringe" players being sold to finance transfers.

Just heard another that is not too far fetched. Theo Walcott (the young kid from Southampton, plays upfront, hope I got the name right) is being chased by a lot of clubs including Chelsea, Man Utd, Arsenal, Celtic, Spurs, Sheff Utd and from what I here, Liverpool as well. One of my mates is a chelsea fan and he really wants the kid. He's heard that it's going to between Chelsea and Liverpool, with the kid being loaned back to Southampton for a couple of seasons to develop. I wouldn't mind an investment like this. His source is a bit dubious (basically it came from another forum) but it says something about how far we've come in the past couple of seasons that chelsea fans are worried more about us than any of the other mentioned clubs when it comes to getting this young talent.

Joaquin is potentially one of the best wingers in the game and currently plays for Real Betis. We've been linked with him since Benitez first came to Liverpool, as he is one of his keenest admirers. He has a minimum release clause in his contract of £40,000,000 but he is unlikly to resign with the Seville club ehen his contract runs down, so they are now asking for something around £15,000,000, though it could be less depending on other circumstances. He is an expert crosser of te ball who is fast and his shots powerful. He is a regular in the spain squad and is on a par with the likes of Robben, Duff, Beckham and the rest of the best. If we got him, I'd be smiling for a year.

Joaquin is top of my list of players I'd love to see at Liverpool. He is a player we simply have to look at signing if he wanted to play here. I'm quite optimistic but I'm not holding my breath. Real Madrid will more than likely be favourites to land him. I think Chelsea have already had a bid turned down about a year back by Betis.

No offence, but how do you know that Benitez rates Joaquin or that he's his admirer?
