"Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich wants a clear-out at Stamford Bridge with Robert Huth, Glen Johnson and Geremi all in the firing line. (Daily Mirror)"

Robert Huth anyone?  I've not seen much of him but he's been mostly good when I've seen him.  I'm not recommending him, or saying that the Daily Mirror tells that truth, but I'm bored and just wondered what you lot thought of him.

(We don't need Geremi and Johnson is worse than my mum.)

I think Huth wouldn't improve us at the back by any means. If it's pace what we need at the back then Huth isn't it.

This is more of an idea than a rumour but i'm watching Wigan Vs Arsholenal at the moment and i quite like the look of this Chimbonda geezer. He's got great attacking pace and seems to have an engine that Ferrari would be jealous of, he also doesn't seem too shabby in his defensive duties.
I'm just wondering what everyone else thinks about a possible move for him in the summer as an eventual replacement for Finnan??

P.S
Lehman is looking 5hite again whats the betting they start sniffing around Jerzy seeing as how they were interested around the time we signed him.

and the lad goes on and on scoring week in week out, with some superb play that sees Swansea at the top of the league........i cant believe the lad wont play in the premiership soon.

He's a classic example of a player that the world and his brother looks at, but nobody will buy. He was on his way to Sheff Wed until he went up there and spoke to Sturrock. Turned it down in the end on the grounds that they don't create enough chances  ???
He's clearly a lad who has an inflated opinion of himself, but equally clearly he is playing a division or two below his ability at present. He's far from fit it seems to me, yet posesses a deftness of touch and a level of skill which ought to certainly earn him a move to a bigger club. Whether or not anybody will take the plunge and stump up the 1.5 million fee though remains to be seen. His main problem it seems to me is that he is British. If he was called Leonardo Trundello they'd be falling over themselves to sign him.

for that much Mick,he has got to be worth a go...sky sports / soccer Am etc rave about the guy week in week out....as a squad player who offers the art of surprise he has got to be worth a go.His goals from all angles and various distances are out of this world.

It was practically the Lee Trundel Showboat. Quite impressive.

I know what your saying Bigmick about him looking unfit, but despite his appearance he claims that this season he is at his fittest.
And with 17 goals already he probably is.

I havent seen his 2 goals from fri against Yeovil yet but was told by a mate that one of them is the best he has seen this season.

From what i have seen of him on socceram he would be a good lad to have in the dressing room as well.

Btw totally agree about the fact that he hasn't been signed by a bigger club due to the fact he is not foreign.

Reds enter Spanish ace race    Mon, Nov 21 2005 10:42
Liverpool are the latest Premiership side to be linked with a January transfer window swoop for Deportivo La Caruna defender Cesar.
The 28-year-old Spanish international centre-half is in the final year of his contract at the Riazor and is set to be offloaded by the Primera Liga side in the new year in order for them to recoup some money before he can leave on a Bosman free transfer next summer.
Newcastle and Tottenham have already been linked with the player, who has expressed a desire to remain in his homeland, but would not rule out a move abroad if the right club came in for him.

He said: "My priority would be to stay in the Spanish league. But, like any professional, I cannot close any doors.

"I am sure that if any firm offers arrive than I will look at them."

Reds boss Rafa Benitez would surely hold an advantage over any other interested parties given the fact they can offer European football and the large Spanish contingent already based at Anfield.
There is no-one anywhere in the world at any stage who is any bigger or any better than this football club.

Kenny Dalglish 1/2/2011

REST IN PEACE PHIL, YOU WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN.
