Very interesting stats - Maybe we can conclude a lot from these

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

I found a neat little website with some super stats on it. I found it very amusing that manure should have the second highest number of close range goals in the Premiership, I bet most of those were RVN 'classics'  :D  Anyway, more interesting to Liverpool fans and myself was this :-

Liverpool Premiership goals analysis

Total Goals = F48 A36

Close Range = F11 (22.9%) A7 (19.4%)
Inside Area = F32 (66.7%) A24 (66.7%)
Outside Area = F5 (10.4%) A5 (13.9%)

That may not mean much on its own but compared to other teams it means a lot.

Rankings (percentage of goals, 1st = highest)

Close Range = For 16th Against 19th
Inside Area = For 2nd Against 1st
Outside Area = For 19th Against 14th

So we are worst percentage-wise for conceding goals in the penalty area, but not bad defensively for close range goals. We have the 2nd worst scoring record from outside the box, that in spite of numerous "victories" Houllier claims from most shots etc

I guess we're not the worst team around, even if some of our stats are bad

Most conceded from distance

16 Leeds Utd (23.2%)
14 Tottenham (25.9%)
12 Wolves (16.9%)

Most conceded from close range

22 Wolves (31.0%)
19 Charlton (44.2%)
19 Man City (38.0%)
19 Leicester (32.2%)

Least scored from close range

7 Leeds Utd (20.0%)
8 Southampton (21.1%)
8 Wolves (24.2%)
Never buy from PC World, product quality is poor and their 'customer service' is even poorer
