Ab i agree, and what has Sami done wrong to warrant being dropped?

The new lad will have to bide his time, get fit and take his chance when it comes.

I don't see why its outrageous? Take both teams last 5 games home and away in a league table

Liverpool - Last 5 Home - Currently the best side in the premiership home form table

Tottenham - Last 5 Away - Currently 3rd in the away form table

Now take the Overall last 8 Games form:

Liverpool - 1st...again

Tottenham - 7th

I think there is enough evidence to suggest that we shouldn't be finding Spurs at home a hard game, especially taking into account their record at Anfield is pathetic.

As for the formation suggestions - why would Rafa change his winning formula. He won't risk a new selection in league. As i've said before he'll debut both in the FA Cup i'm sure, portsmouth away is an ideal starting debut for both

You get the racing post too?

Actually, of the last 8 Premiership games Liverpool are 2nd, Spurs are 3rd.

Last 2 games v Spurs at Anfield, 2-2 and 0-0.

I didn't expect to see such tight odds when playing a team 1 place below in the league (ye, 2 games in hand, but still).

I think this'll be a tight game and wouldn't be surprised if it ended in a draw.

there's always the chance that spurs will bounce back from a p*ss-poor defeat at leicester and give us a hell of a game but in my experience there's a much bigger chance of them coming to anfield and rolling over and pulling their pants down in anticipation of a thorough shafting

3-0 Crouch 2, Gerrard

We haven't "shafted" Spurs in a long while, the last 4 years have been:
2-2, 0-0, 2-1, 1-0.

It'll be close.

Yeah I agree the Spuds arent going to be a roll over by any means they always seem a bit of a bogey team for us.
But in saying that Im confident we can take three points and prove to be too strong at the end of the day.

The line-up I'd guess Rafa will go for is thus:

                                                     Reina

Finnan                                  JC                     Sami                              Riise

                                            Alonso
Kromkamp                                                                                     Kewell
                                                          Gerrard

                                         Crouch
                                                        Mori (if he's fit again).

excuse my ignorance Lando, but could you explain the reasoning behind Kromkamp in RM? I might be missing something here.

When he signed it was stated that he played at RB and RW.

I have a feeling Rafa will give him a go there.

Key and vital game coming up today and next week, Agger is match unfit, and Kromkampp will push Finnan to lose his spot in the next few weeks. Then again, we are talking about Rafa, and when Pellegrino was signed, the next match he played. Who knows what team Rafa will come up with, but I won't be surprised if Agger does not play the next 2 games, simply because the CB position is there for Hyypia to lose than for Agger to win. If after these games we come out unscathed (here's $50 bucks saying we do) Rafa wants to introduce Agger, then so be it. Better off getting Carra used to Agger now, than waiting until the new season. It takes time to understand what the hell Carra says anyway so that could be a good excuse...:D

They will attack our weaknesses as Luton did, but they have better players so they will be able to be more efficient to punish us if we make mistakes.

Tough game for sure, just seen Martin Jol on Sky Sports news, he sounds like he'd be happy with a draw, #
i'd like to think we can win this by the odd goal, defo will NOT be a walk over, over hyped they are, mugs they are not.
think its important to have a good showing>
next game is Man U,away.

What do you boys (and girls) think about Momo getting a start in the middle with Alonso. ???
As always I am focused on supporting the Cloob and the Manager

Is Momo not going to the African nations cup? Is he not from Mali or somewhere like that?

I make you right, this game will cirtainly be no walkover. They have two extremely strong centre backs in King (if fit) and Dawson so they won't be bullied and even taking into account his advancing years Edgar is no mug, he seems to enjoy playing in the Prem and appears to have found a new lease of life. This said I think Stevie and Xabi will be to strong for the Spurs midfield and I think this is where we'll win a close, entertaining came.

this game will be a close one...they play a fast game especially their midfielder. they pass the ball quickly and its hard to get the ball from them. its frustating to watch. hope we can control midfield....
