I wouldn't be suprised to see Rafa use Kromkamp as a RM against Tottenham.

The line-up I'd guess Rafa will go for is thus:

                                                     Reina

Finnan                                  JC                     Sami                              Riise

                                            Alonso
Kromkamp                                                                                     Kewell
                                                          Gerrard

                                         Crouch
                                                        Mori (if he's fit again).

excuse my ignorance Lando, but could you explain the reasoning behind Kromkamp in RM? I might be missing something here.

Lol forget about it lando, I just did some reading on Kromkamp. I would be amazed if Rafa started him there though.

Hopefully there heads will be down with the result in the cup.

My starting line up would be:

                             Reina

Finnan           Carra            Hyypia         Risse

                             Alonso
Gerrard                                               Kewell

                             Garcia(if fit)

                     Cisse           Crouch

But I wouldnt mind to see Pongulle getting a run out after the Luton game maybe for Cisse.

Your nic is funny as it is, but that avatar is a killer

Defensive reasons. Their left back Lee gets forward a lot, and Gerrard doesnt stick to the right flank and defend well when he plays on the right side. Kromkamp will start there for sure.

Spurs will be happy with a draw and not get beat at home. Rafa will play with just Crounch fwd and look to dominate in the middle with 3

This has got draw written all over it. Hopefully we'll sneak a goal.

If Lee forward a lot, it's mean that he will create a "hole" in Left back and we can attack that area unless they played like Arsenal when cole get forward , PV will cover in Left back.

I don't see why its outrageous? Take both teams last 5 games home and away in a league table

Liverpool - Last 5 Home - Currently the best side in the premiership home form table

Tottenham - Last 5 Away - Currently 3rd in the away form table

Now take the Overall last 8 Games form:

Liverpool - 1st...again

Tottenham - 7th

I think there is enough evidence to suggest that we shouldn't be finding Spurs at home a hard game, especially taking into account their record at Anfield is pathetic.

As for the formation suggestions - why would Rafa change his winning formula. He won't risk a new selection in league. As i've said before he'll debut both in the FA Cup i'm sure, portsmouth away is an ideal starting debut for both

banana wrote:We will beat them. Their only real quality is Davids and Lee. Alonso and Gerrard shoould dominate the lesser opponents Carrick and Jenas. I do fear a slow back line could be in trouble if Keane or Defoe can get hold of the ball. 3 goals for Luton and 2 goals for Bolton is way too much.

I agree but I also think the young lad Lennon is quality

i agree with this. i remember listening to a radio phone in the other day and deluded spurs fans were seriously suggesting that the balance of power had shifted in north london from arsenal to them.

to me, arsenal are still in a different stratesphere to spurs on many levels. just look at their new stadium as testament to this.
