The #7 shirt - Retire it now

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Postby Lep_16 » Sat Apr 17, 2004 11:45 pm

Before we give it to another embarrassing lazy non commited t#s#er. We have had brillaint players wear that shirt with pride but now it seems that any old Mr Average can have it.Harry Kewell has potential but he has had it for way too many years. Time to produce Kewell time to show everyone what we thought we wear buying......I for one won't be holding my breath

What is your problem? Stop moaning about Kewell, how long he been playing for Liverpool? He been here nearly a season, for christ sake!
He is one of best left midfielder in Europe, give him a break. I believe he will get better and better next season.
You can't expect him to be like that what he did at Leeds straight away for Liverpool, when you become a new player at the club, things will change but it will take a time to settle it, show some respect Kewell.

My problem....hmmmm I want commited players I want heart and passion I DON'T want poseurs and lazy players. I want full on LFC players Harry Kewell is NOT amongst my first comments. I hope he proves me wrong but he is not very good IMO and doesn't seem to care about us or maybe he is ignorant of our history. Who knows what his problem is. Retire the shirt!!

what a load of bollcks.........Waccoe.......why don't you f##k off back to your own site......as for the 7 shirt.......Kewell is one of our best midfielders, ok sometimes he doesn't do as much work as he should........but like Gerrard, he can pull a goal out of the bag with half a chance.  He was unlucky not to score yesterday after hitting the woodwork

Kewell is lazy and not what I like too see in a Liverpool shirt but all to their own I suppose.Kewell_7 seems like you have a major problem with anyone having an opinion that differs to your own......your word is not the end of it and although I imagine you are very young (the Weeds United bit gave it away, very schoolkid) I hope you will see that not all Liverpool fans will agree with you or me for that matter, but isn't that what football is all about!!

give him time, for example Thierry Henry was average in his first season at Arsenal now he is the best player in the premiership! Not suggesting Harry would be this good, but next season I think Harry will be a lot better.

The whole idea of 'retiring' numbers is nothing short of pointless and ridiculous in my opinion.
