As most people know Anfield hasn't been the best place to watch entertaining football over the past 2 seasons, with the £30m - £40m that 'the boss' should have in the summer what players do you think would improve us enough to challenge for the league and also show us some skills/entertainment?

I'd deffo say Rafael Van Der Vaart needs to be bought cos he make us look bad in the Amersterdam tournament last year.

Paul if its entertaining you are after, maybe try the flicks.

I am not on the ship that searches for entertaining skilful football, I want results, wether or not we play well. I could not care if we won thirty games one nil and drew five nil nil in a season if that meant that we regained the holy grail and won the league once again.

Its nice to see the lads pass and move, but if that means we still get beat, I dont care .....

I want us to win the league soooo bad but I've heard loads of fans complaining about how boring our football is to watch so I think my question is fair???

Plus Van Der Vaart is easily good enough for LFC

Van der Vaart, Ajax are a better side than us at the moment, unfortunately he would probably see coimng to Liverpool a backward step in his career at the moment and if the likes of Barca or Bayern Munich were interested we would have little chance of signing him.

agree totally with that. i couldn't care less how we play as long as we are winning games.

Yeah I know what your saying but at the moment Arsenal are playing attractive footie and also winning things so you can have the two at the same time cos we did it in the 70's and 80's.

But I do agree that we need to win things now and that 'sexy football' is lower on the priority list.

the amazing thing with arsenal is that they are fantastic to watch despite the fact that they don't play with an out and out striker. our players could learn a lot about speed of movement and thought from the likes of henry and pires.

I think that as liverpool fans we should be watching entertaining football and winning games. That didn't used to be alot to ask for, but now we would be happy to have a 1-0 boring win for the 3 precious points. I think we deserve a team that will win us games and play some class football

all liverpool supporters were brought up watching attractive attacking winning football, how can you say that winning is everything. When houllier was succesful we were hated by every football fan in the country for our boring negative football, is this the image we want of our club? liverpool of old was famed for its attractive pass and move football not the sleeping tonic of today, i also want us to be succesful but not with this style of negative football that puts everyone to sleep. Anyway houllier and many italian teams have proved that playing boring unattractive, counter attacking football will never win you any major trophys.
