oh i`ve heard this, it was two south american teams, someone like equador and bolivia.
they were playing in a world cup qualifier in the early sixties and the ref gave a dodgy pen. the president of one of the country`s was so irate and thought the other country`s president was putting the arm on the ref he ordered the tanks across the border.
