if its already here burn this one but just a nice article in sky sports.com

Luis Garcia is the latest big-name Liverpool star to hail the work undertaken by Rafa Benitez at Anfield.

The Spanish tactician's regime has not only brought the European Cup back to Merseyside but has also seen Liverpool emerge as arguably Chelsea's strongest rivals.

Whilst the manner in which Liverpool have emerged as genuine title challengers, after years of being perennial underachievers has surprised many, Garcia - who previously worked under Benitez at Tenerife - insists he was always confident.

The talented 27-year-old schemer believes that now Benitez possesses a more rounded understanding of English football, Liverpool will only continue to grow in the next few seasons.

''When Rafa took over at Valencia people were saying they weren't really a good team,'' said Garcia.

''But after Christmas they started winning games and went on to the league when no-one expected them to.

''I think we are getting closer to that now. We are a lot more consistent.

''We had so many new players last season, so it was always going to be difficult to work straight away.

''We all came from La Liga and so did the manager, and that is so different to The Premiership.

''But now we have changed our mindset towards playing in England. I think the manager has had to change some of his methods to suit the game over here too.''

Meanwhile, Steven Gerrard has revealed that he too believes Liverpool are now ready to push Chelsea for the Premiership crown, confident that the club's consistency will prove vital.

''We are getting goods results against the top sides and not slipping up against the small ones,'' Gerrard told Shoot.

''It is fair to say we are emerging as challengers for the title.

''We have shown there is very little between us and Chelsea. With more consistency in our game I think we are in a good position to challenge them.''

Cultural gap issue I guess Dawson.

By confirm I mean that I spot on Luis Garcia when he says that. I also remember what the people said when Rafa arrived at Valencia, and I can erm, confirm?, that what Luis Garcia says is true.

That's what I meant...
