francisco rufete...
Come on, kewell IS back. Can't you guys see the level he is playing now? Quit the prejudism about this guy. HE IS BACK!! How many games more does he need to prove that he's already gained his consistency? If Rafa keeps putting him as a starter, then Rafa knows that he's fully fit for the team and the game.
As both vincente and rufete are concerned, i'd say both are pretty considerable signings. Both have the sort of pace and the ability that liverpool needs IF rafa decides the team to be a "pass and move" team. Judging by the way that we have been playing however, i doubt that rafa would be experimenting that sort of team structure, not right now when we are so consistent with our level of team play.
When it comes to experimentation, we must prepare for consequences. Last season for example is a good case study during the team restructuring. We played so inconsistently; players were being reshuffled all around the field and it cost us most of the premiership games. Our lost games were not too far from our wins.
Due to our tremendous success (by far) this season, rafa will not repeat the exercise again unless we reach certain goals (be second on the premiership, defending the CL, qualify for next year's CL etc.).  I don't think there will be much experimentation at this time even if we do secure good signings in a couple of weeks.

Soccernet are talking a load of b*llocks.
According to them, he's not made an assist for Valencia in the past 4 seasons!!!!!

Proof that we should forever shun them.

With Kewell playing good or nearly good theres no need for another left winger. Not sure what the Gonzales situation is but even so Risse can operate perfectly down the left with Zenden and if needed Warnock. I think the right wing is the one that needs filling. Ive said it before and if you want probabaly the paciest person right now its Theo Walcott but ill leave him to one side for now. We could just keep Stevie on the right and bring in Aimar or someone similar but thats another option thats been heavily discussed on here. Simao looked ot be on his way but in all honesty i would have gone with Dario Srna. Simaos going to be finished 2 years or at another club such is his attitude that he brings with him. However Srna is only 21 and can be made to adapt to Rafas style.

Heres a crazy but possible option. If Chelsea really want to sign Walcott then that might pish SWP out. As im sure hes :censored: of with being a 22M sub.
My new blog for my upcoming holiday.
