Just tell me Ciggy if cisse had no pace, what part of his game would you like most?

But to be honest there is some sh!te teams at that World Cup and if we kept hold of him till the summer we could well get a few more bob for him.....Remember Diouf anyone???

Well Im gona put a spanner in the works here, I dont rate Morientes I dont think he is cut out for the prem.
Cisse can change his game under Rafa, but I cannot see why people critise Cisse constanly and leave Morietes alone just cause he came from Real Madrid.
Id I had my choice neither would be in the team, sell the 2 and buy Dirk Kuijt but thats just my opinion.

but how do you know kuyt will do any better?
when we were after cisse and morientes they were two of the biggest names in european football and everyone was clammouring for them. now we want kuyt.
we havent got the money these days to buy every star name in europe until one works.
cisse and morientes are good forwards, its up to us to get the best out of them.

I was hoping at the being of the season that cisse could develop in to this player, 20 Premership goals. A guy who can score headers, a guy who could get the scrappy ones, a guy who would be quiet all game and pop up in the 92nd minute and score, a proper striker. Unfortunaly he lacked the cutting edge.

Saying that nor have chelsea, they rely on the midfield to do there part (like us) and they are. So i wouldnt say thats whats seperating us from 1st and 2nd. Too be honest im not sure what is. We are however are only 1 or two players away from matching them squade wise. I think we mite have a better first team.

think we need a few more to match them squadwise mate. hate to say it but they have 2 first teams. we have maybe 14 players who i really think can cut it.

Take out Lampard out of Chelsea, and they wont score as much as they do. He's their top goal scorer and was last season, FFS he's a midfielder. They do have depth but no one in the squad can replace Lampard when he isn't playing.

well maybe not 20 games, but give the lad a chance, hes over trying now as he doesnt get to play often

Cisse had a fair shair of starts at the begining of the season and missed tons of chances. The worst chance he missed was when we played Sunderland  at home, he was literly a foot away from the goal line. How he missed that opportunity I will never know.

Your right Cigs if this was a Morientes thread id agree with you i dont think he is upto scratch, his clinical finishing is probably what impressed everyone most when he came but it seems to have gone.

I said earlier in the season would Paul Jewell swap Roberts and Camara for Cisse and Morientes, No, not a chance.

Its obvious its the position where we lack most, we hit 5 tonight and not 1 from are (mian) strikers.

Never seen Dirk Kuyt or much of him anyway but no one really has a bad word to say who has.........Still Robbie Keane for me.

CGGY, Kuyt doesn't have any real pace either so what would the point of that be? You would still have two unpacy strikers upfront.

Not really I think Cisse has been treated like a tw@t IMO broken leg got back quick, was gona be sold to bring boy wonder home.
Has a misunderstood ego, I mean he thinks he's Henry but he's nowhere near Henry.
Was treated like sh.it from Liverpool TBH, subbed upteen occations dropped when he could have won us games etc etc.

All I am saying people make these topics on Cisse all the time and I think its a bit unfair as he has had an unfair crack at the whip.
Houllier brought him to Anfield not Rafa and he is not a Rafa type player.
People go on about how rafa is turning us into Valencia, maybe so, but Rafa also said we should be scoring an awful lot more goals.

Gerrard is our leading goal scorer what does that tell you?
I am not blaming Cisse one bit he's scored enough already this season, what about Morientes?
No ones slamming him oh yer its great to have once the most prolific striker of all time in your team but not if he's not doing it at Liverpool.

Behave A.B. how many times have you watched him? The lads got more engine than Sissoko, he's got 17 goals for Feyenoord this season alone and he's had 5 bad games.

Spot on Dawson.........You do think with your heart, ok he has a gay celebration, but hes a good player who would do great things at Liverpool, i cant see it, we have never been linked with him and rafa doesnt seem Keane LMAO Excuse the Pun, but i cant think of a better buy for 4 or 5 million who would get us goals, the chances we create and dont put away would by taking easliy i think.

means nothing that ciggy, kezman had broken van nistelrooys goal scoring record in dutch football and was being touted as the next van basten, he even goes to the top club in chelsea, as opposed to a struggling side and cant buy a goal.
some people just adapt to some league`s whilst others dont.

Kezman is sebian what ever not dutch, if we dont sign this lad now it will be a regtret if Jol, Maureen, Wenger or Fergie gets their hands on him.
His value will treble in the WC 2006, big mistake not signing him in the summer IMO.
Striker, winger, midfielder, defender this little bandy legged fella is everything rolled into one.

Feyenoord wanted almost 15 million for him, 2 million less than Owen who is a proven goalscorer on a higher level.
