Credit to Luton for fighting us all the way.

But those two Alonso goals were incredible.

As I said earlier - the first Alonso goal was a fluke. It looped up off a Luton guy's ankle as soon as he hit it, which is why it had so much backspin on it.

It definitely did - there was an angle they showed on the BBC coverage from behind that shows it quite clearly.

Rafa or Fat Sam?
You wanted that :censored: as our manager.
He is totally sh.it, no class and his awl clod hoppin pensioners are sh.ite.
Cmon Lakes youve said 100 times on here you wanted fat Sam as manager.
The only time I wana see that :censored: at Anfield is when we are playing Bolton once a season.
Moanin :censored:

no i have not said that a 100 times i said it twice in fact, if you like you can look back at all my posts, At one time Sam looked better than Rafa to me, When we was looking for a new manager i said i would take Sam over Rafa as Sam has a history with the prem and was coming in cold. end of.

Has your view now changed?   :p

as i have said over the last few weeks Rafa looks like he has learnt a lot and and what has made me also happy was how he was when the Real job come up. he is still learning (take today) i have never been shy in what i think about him and i have taken what has said to me on here on the chin...but right now he is doing well and i am happy with him as long as he keeps leaning the English game (FA cup) I NOW BELIVE HE CAN BECOME A GREAT MANGER FOR LIVERPOOL FC......but and theres always a but if things start to go wrong like they did last year he should not be as pig headed and ask for a bit of help from someon that knows the English game well Phil Thompson.

 LMFAO the abuse we are getting on bluekipper
Carson should have been sent off, Alonso's goal was deflected, Alonso's goal at the end should have been a free kick to Luton.
Oh you cant beat a bit of bitter bluesh.ite on a night like this
There is no-one anywhere in the world at any stage who is any bigger or any better than this football club.

Still it was a brilliant goal, even if it was a fluke, and as for his second goal, sheer class & great vision. If either of the Fatty Brothers Lampard or Rooney had scored goals like that we'd be hearing about it for years! :D

Mind you,at 3-1 down it looked like we were in for a real pasting,I wondered what Rafa was thinking, last season he selected an understrength side against Burnley and got slated, tonight he picked a strong side and things looked pretty grim, but what a comeback,Flo coming on was defo the turning point, maybe he deserves a run in the team for a few games?
