Agreed there Phil, Ashton is a goal machine and will score goals inside the box which is somethin we have missed since MO left and Fowler before him, plus the lad is still quite young![]()
I say put a £6m bid in for him and he's just at the chance especially since he's from the North west (Crewe).

Unless he is the top star at a club and the team plays around him, he gets the hump on and moves again.
He is what, 25? How many different clubs has he played for? PSG, Arsenal, Real Madrid, PSG again, LFC, Man City, Real Madrid and his current one Fernebache I believe. Any more? I can't remember.
6 clubs is a heck of a lot to say he has so much ability.
He is just a "sulking Frenchman" as red37 puts it!
(Stu - I agree he'd massively improve our forward line, but it's his attitude that lets him down. He seems a bit like Collymore in that respect.)

I don't think he's been a problem to anyone since Paris. Never kicked up a fuss at an average city side or here. Houllier never went with him, understandable as i said at the time, however i feel he was a risk worth taking, he was brilliant in patches for us and i'd have him back at the click of a finger.
