I think £3.000001m would be fair enough  :D  Seriously I might consider risking £5m, but that would be as high as I'd go, I doubt you'd get him for less

As usual I agree with JBG. The premiership is the most physical league in world.  I like Wright-Philips but again I'm disappoint by the notion of quality that seems to be circulating.

Liverpool, had a history of buying proven world class players who augment the home grown players.  The club has produced two world class players IE Gerrard and Owen, they have also produced a couple of excellent team players.  The past formula for success would require the manager to buy in two or three more world class players and bring in workers to support them.  (This is a proven formula  There are currently too many Lazy Bas****s who have no notion of work rate.  Analyse our opponents and then you will be better prepared to see what's needed.

Excuse the pun but its gaints we need at Liverpool.

Is he really much better than Diouf whats the point of buying him if his not better.

Van Der Meyde has lost his place at Inter to Stankovic and is class. Be great if Liverpool could get him.

Remember his goal agains Arsenal in the CL earlier this season.

wright phillips has got great pace and determination, but lacks the technical abilty to be considered a quality player. I mean his crossing and first touch need a lot of improving but, who knows he could improve, hes still very young, but as ive said before houllier would just get nothing out of him because he stifles attacking players, anyone seen kewell this season?

Fair point , but I no longer see "world class" players lining up to join our club. The fact that top players no longer bite our hands off at the sniff of a contract to wear the red shirt is an indication of the reputation we now have under Foolier. Players we already have are considering their futures and stalling over commitment to the club, those that are considering joining or staying with us are laying down all sorts of conditions.
The once proud ship that was LFC is now a rusting hulk in need of a dry dock and complete overhaul.

i'd rather see andy van der meyde at anfield. he's out of favour at inter and is a natural right winger. technically superb aswell.

Well said Big Al.

It just shows how little idea people here have of real quality.

I mean, with no disrespect for those people that said it, but Robert Earnshaw, Sean Wright Phillips, Dawson of Forest and Gordon Strachen (as candidate for manager) are simply not the quality required.

They are all decent players but they might improve Birmingham or Fulham, not Liverpool.

By the way Big Al, where have you been lately?
