Only professional to - play in goal (41 appearances), Defence, Midfield, Striker, and later be Director and then to be Manager (winning a Championship) - at one club

Stevie G a defensive midfielder!!!!!! Absolute nonsense. 20 goals in 2005 and 15 goals this season shows where his best position is. Attacking central midfielder with Alonso + Sissoko behind him giving him the license to roam all over the park...

are you having a laugh!

Gerrard/Alonso pairing is one of the best in the world! Gerrard is in the top 3 of central midfielders in the world so why adapt him to become a 'top10' player on the right and risk upsetting the balance. yes, for now, he is ok on the right but not long term.

and he isnt exactly happy about being on the right but does it for the team so i dont think he'll wana go there permanently.

No. Dont waste him there. He is good in the centre as he controls the whole game. He creates chances. He is a playmaker IMO. He is versatile no doubt but by placing him on the right throught out the game, its a waste. You wont feel his presence.

Evidence.. look at Bolton game. Steven Gerrard started on the Right. The whole game became dull and less creativity. Until he moved to forward  at centre.

Let alone all Bolton match, I qouted so that its in everyones mind fresh. Every game Steven Gerrard plays on the right, Liverpool will not be doing that well. He would immediately move towards centre and swap with Garcia / Finnan

Dont waste his talent. He should remain in the centre and move forward.
Thats why Rafa is in search for a RM
