Reina: 5 All round composure from the Spaniard but was responsible for both Bolton goals. First one should have been an easy routine catch while the second one lacked a bit of aggression from him.

Finnan: 7 A solid routine defensive display and looked the best defender on the pitch today. Decent game going forward too, contributing to the occasional cross from the right flank.

Carragher: 7 Strong at the back and as usual gave 110%, although he could have conceded a penalty for an unnecessary challenge on the Bolton forward. Was almost perfect for the offside traps, if not for Bolton's 2nd goal.

Hyypia: 6 Looked short of pace today and gave away a lot of unneccessary freekicks especially in the first half. Done better in the second half and coordinated well with the defence, although Diouf's trickery was sometimes too much for him.

Traore: 5 Felt shaky at the back for us and was partially responsible for Bolton's 2nd goal. Was guilty of playing a couple of Bolton players onside for several attempts on the offside trap. Should make way for Riise next game.

Gerrard: 8 Once again my man of the match. Did not impose himself in the first half but eventually grew in confidence, running at defenders and taking on shots. Won a penalty for us and took it sweetly himself. A captain's display.

Sissoko: 6 Ran his socks off but lacked a final bit of composure for his feisty tackles in midfield. Was caught in possession a couple of times unnecessarily in midfield. Needs to improve on his final touches and distribution of the ball. Subbed off for Cisse.

Hamann: 6 A rare start and a quiet game for the German. Does not seem to be involved much in the midfield battle, although he did have a good shot on target, palmed away by their goalie. Was subbed off early for Alonso.

Kewell: 7 A decent game once again but lacked the final touch and quality for the delivery into the box. Made many daring runs to the defenders and many times got on the byline but failed to deliver a decent ball. Hardworking display.

Crouch: 7 Was non existent in the first half but imposed himself in the second half where he led the front line brilliantly, an important cog of the Reds machine. Won many nod downs, feeding to the attacking play. Need to improve on his final touches.

Pongolle: 6 A quiet game from him, although an undeniable hardworking display. Ran his socks off but did not receive the right service. Subbed off early for Garcia.

Garcia: 8 Once he came on, it looked like he had lighten up the attack with that extra spark and scored a well-taken goal. Not enough time on the pitch for a higher score.

Alonso: 7 Did not have much of the ball once he came on but his distribution was world class everytime he had a chance.

Cisse: 7 Looked bright when he came on and almost scoring the winning goal where he hit a header just wide. Improving by the day.

Overall: 6 An average performance where we could have gotten the 3rd goal very easily, again lacking that final quality in the box. Could have been better in defence, espiecailly in the goalkeeping department. Let's hope thats just a one off situation.
