Lfc vs. mufc - Will we win?

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

If we do win this match then we still have to rely on other teams to beat Charlton and Newcastle but sad ly i think with GH's tactic's and squad the best we can hope for is a draw. If this team is played we have a good chance of getting a result.

                            Dudek

  Carragher     Hyypia          Henchoz     Riise

  Diouf           Gerrard         Hamann       Kewell

                     Baros         Owen

Subs: Luzi, Heskey, Cheyrou, Smicer, Sinama

Hopefully Keane and Van Nistelrooy will not be played.

I think you want to post this Friday.

I prefer this team to play :

                                Dudek
                      Hyypia           Henchoz
           Carra                                         Riise
                       Hamann     Gerrard

                                 Kewell
                   Heskey     Owen       Baros

ATTACKING ? hmmm :D

I think Liverpool will raise their game and hopefully win.

if we could'nt beat charlton or fulham at home, i don't hold out much hope of beating the manc's away. :(

Dont you think it would be typical of Liverpool to go to Old Trafford and win? We are the most unpredictable team in the premiership i think!!

I don't really care about the lineup as far as there will be BISCAN, TRAORE, SMICER and HESKEY  :D

We do pull out some unexpected results against the big clubs most years but this year. A defeat and a bad performance playing Man U would finish the season for me.

Beat Man-U? ???? In our form? ????  You are having a laugh.

I think we should just go for it, all out attacking.  I think the comments on this forum would be a lot more supportive if we showed that we had a real go at them.  Better to lose having a go than play defensive and hit them on the break (a tactic that only worked against Chelsea this season).

By the way does anyone know if the match is on Sky? ???

The manu defence is their weak point, if we attack it and also defend well then we've got a chance. If we go with just Owen up front then I fear we will get our ar$es kicked again. Did anyone see the analysis on The Premiership last night? Boring as it can be sometimes, last night's analysis of Liverpool showed that our passing is too negative, our build up too slow and lacking the killer instinct. I say that has to be part of coaching not to lose.

I agree that we should just go for it. We really have nothing to lose by going balls out for goals. Maybe a switch to a 'Evans' style 5-3-2/3-5-2 would be good as i'm sure Man U will be expecting boring predictable Liverpool.

Did anyone expect us to win at Old Trafford when Danny lobbed Barthez? Did anyone expect Danny to score again? Im sorry but form can go out the window in a game like this! Besides i dont think the mancs are lighting up the place anymore! Whoever wants this match more will win for me! Come on red men!

Crazy as it is it would not surprise me if get something from this game. We are the most unpredictacble team in the league. The away game at Chelsea was a prime example - I expected us to get tonked in that game with our past record  and form at the time but we sneaked a win. I would also like to see Baros play but houllier will play Heskey, you can count on it.

thats not too bad-- tactics suck but there are good men there and man u is not what they were-- they are rebuilding

remember no excuses attack attack attack and let the chips fall where they may
