I think it'll be a good move for him, he just doesn't seem to have the extra something needed to make at Liverpool. Hope the move goes well for him

A few months ago I'd have said Hearts would be a good move for Potter.  But to be honest they've been in free-fall since that clown Rix took charge after Burley left.  They're not a club that has stability at the moment, but a scots prem or championship club is definitely where he'll end up I reckon.

He didn't cut the mustard at Liverpool as far as I'm concerned, but there's no shame in that, I've seen enough of him to reckon he'll make a decent career for himself in the game.  Good luck to him.

Why would anyone appoint Rix ?

His record is shocking and the baggage of his personal life as well.

It was a very strange appointment imo, when they were supposedly looking at top coached like Bobby Robson and Ranieri.

It's a shocking appointment Ace.  I know a few Hearts fans who aren't happy with it at all.

The problem is Romanov their chairman who wants a head coach rather than a manager.  The guy's a dictator and wants to control buying/selling players and to an extent picking the team.  The other top names in for the job wouldn't have this, and neither would Burley which is why he left.  Rix on the other hand is trying to rebuild his career and reputation so saw it as a good opportunity.

Anyway, back to Potter, I don't think he should go there, it's not a well run club at the moment and I'm sure if he held out he'd get a better offer elsewhere.

Oh well. I just don't rate him at all. It's obvious he isn't a winger, and thats the only position in the midfield we need right now.
