Hearts fan here, a few news sites are running a story that we are buying Potter for 750k!! Anyone heard about this??

Also whats his injury like? And what positions is he good in??

He is a player with superb potential for us, able to play in almost every position in the team, and I would be very flattered if he was released for a mere sum of 750k.

On second thought, we'll let you have him.

I find it hard to believe Hearts would fork out 750k for any player, especially an unknown quantity in Scotland

Although Romanov did appoint Rix!

But he's a good player, perhaps a loan deal would be more likely as can't see us selling him

Darren Potter - we'd be better off with Harry Potter every game I have seen he looks absolutely clueless, admittedly I have not seen any reserve games so maybe I'm being unfair, however, he is not upto the standard we are striving for from the games I have seen.

Mind you it is Scotland so he'll probably be fantastic up there

John Welsh was better than Potter and he is playing at Hull now. Make the appropriate comparisons...

Have to say that I've never been impressed with Potter when I've seen him, he's never looked first team material at Liverpool to me.

Having said that Benitez played him out right and apparently he's a centre mid. One of the guys who regularly watches the reserve team would be able to give a better analysis than me I'm sure.

I suspect 750k is far too much for a team like Hearts to be paying for an unproven player, and as others have said a loan deal would be more realistic.

He did make a few stray passes and wasted the ball when he's played but I've always thought he had potential, I'd put those mistakes to nerves as he did play in a couple of high profile games if I remember correctly
But agree currently no first team so a loan deal would probably be the best thing for the lad

He's a bag of sh*t regarding the first team, so for feck's sake buy him.
£750k seems like daylight robbery to me. You should consider dropping that offer to around £3.99 and a Curly Wurly.
