Go to www.premierleague.com and click on the Actim lnk. For those of you who don't know what Actim is, it is a data collection company that specialises in football data. Every week, you get a team of the week which is comprised of the best eleven players who ply their trade in the EPL. Not based on opinions or arguments, but on statistics. Pass completion, shot accuracy, tackle success and so on.

So, bearing in mind that this was a full week of action with only Tottenham and Portsmouth excluded, how many players do ya reckon we got in the team? 1? 2? Try 7! Reina, Finnan, Carragher, Hyypia, Gerrard, Garcia and Crouch all got in. 7!!! Bare in mind the fact that Garcia was sub and that Nando isn't even on this and he scored twice!

If this sort of domination of the actim team is a sign of things to come, it doesn't half get me excited. It really starts to feel like we are the European champions.

This looks to be the closest thing that you can have to say that at the moment we are the best team in the league other than the league table and at the moment it's very enjoyable viewing.

The current team of the season that is also on there is for me a complete pile of bollox; how the feck is Darius Vassell in there - i mean crouch seems to have scored more goals and contributed more to his team this season than Vassell has thru his whole career; and how in the hell have Manure got 3 players in there with the pile of 5hite that they're producing this season.

Don't really pay attention to the Actim index, didn't do so when we had a difficult start to the season and I'm not doing so now.

Come on AB the whole fun of being a footy fan is basking in the glory and putting a brave face on when were on a downer and there have been lots of downers in recent years so enjoy the good times 'cos we all no you can't predict how long they'll last.

agreed rushie, how often in the last ten years have we had the oppurtunity to bask in the glory that is LFC. We have been spoilt this year IMO, winning ole big ears was awesome and now maybe we are not appreciating the little things as much. i dunno.

We should enjoy this without becooming arrogant.

Do you throw a party at Team of The Week in the People ?

Do you take a day off work when the OPTA stats come out ?

No Leon I don't consider 'A couple of players in team of the week' as being glory FFS. I mean that people who are saying they are supporters of LFC should be enjoying ANY kind of praise that comes the teams way and be able to have something over the other teams like $hitki who just 'cos they got a few quid to spend think they've got the god given rite to run ruffshod over everyone else and so when we are supposed to be 'LUCKY' european champions as people in some areas of football have labelled us then it's nice to be able to throw any kind of accolades no matter how small at them.

Stop being such a miserable bugger and enjoy the current good feeling that all reds fans (excluding MANCS

) should have with the way rafa and the boys are performing.
