Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

If any team is to win the Premiership, excluding Chelsea, in the next three years it will certainly be Liverpool. I believe we are as strong as Arsenal and Man U, if not stronger. Come January, we will at least be the second best team in the U.K if not the best in the world  :D

Ok, maybe 2nd best in the UK but not the world. I think Barcelona, FC bayern are better.

The records will say that if we win the WCC we'll be considered the champions of the world but in reality there are a few clubs ahead of us like Barca who are outstanding at the moment who should really be considered as the best in the world - but as liverpool fans the reds will always be no.1 for us.  :p

But until a team wins the CL, they cannot be considered a "Great" side. :p

Might want to encourge some debate or discussion. Also, as for being the best in the world, we'll have to wait till we play Sao Paulo, however I would rate Bayern munich and Barca as being a better squad at the moment. Considering we haven't beaten Chelsea yet this season (and beaten 4-1) either we need to not get ahead of ourselves.

I was jokingly alluding to the fact that if we win the World Club Championship we would be the best in the world. However, as I said, I do believe we'll be the next team, besides Chelsea to win the Premiership.

is Barca still the best team in the world if they didnt win cl this year? anytime people will say that barca is the among the best if not the best team in the world. that because they had ronaldinho, xavi, eto, larrson, deco and they way they play..attacking football.

if we beat juve , barca, bayern, milan this year.....are we inferior than this three team? mourinshite will agree straight away.

I will never say we are inferior, however I don't think we are as dominant as say Barca. Barca wins 5-1 (I think they have done that twice), 3-0 and more. I just think on the pitch, although our results are saying otherwise, we aren't as dominant as Bayern Munich or Barca in that we probably don't put the match completely out of reach.

Barca arent brilliant this season just because theyve got ronaldinho they have dropped at least 8 points this season its just because the competition isnt as good as in the premiership because real are not up to their best

Although Eto'o is doing very well for them.

These posts are stupid - If anyone thinks that La Liga or The Bunderlege are comparable to the Premiership then they are spending too much time reading the Sun.

Ours is BY FAR the toughest league in the world and Barca, Munich, Milan (either one) wouldn't last two minutes.
