Like i said, i dont really get the sh!te and fuss over this, what do the BBC know in terms of the champions league and Cricket, they showed neither, the Mourinho award is a strange one, but im guessing Abromovich probably bought him it for Christmas  :D

Maureen would like that   :D  He's such an Ego maniac  :eyebrow

The BBC have lost ground to SKY for years in terms of sports coverage.

At leats ITV get a chuck of the Champions League but after having to listen to their commentators the other night against Chelsea away ( I go to all the Home CL games)they are hardly jumping through hoops in terms of ability or quality

When Man Utd won the CL, did the BBC name them as team of the year?

So that's what he won!

Loved it when Pele came on.
Lineker asked Mourinho to present him the award still calling him the special one... Mourinho looked embarrassed with Pele there.
Great.

If they really, truely believe that the England Cricket team's achievement was better than LFC's then fine.

Get me a f*cking bazooka, I'll put the sorry b*stards out of their collective misery and stupidity.

There are more LFC fans in Outer Mongolia than English Cricket fans in the entire world.
Infact, there are more Hereford Utd Fans in Outer Mongolia, too!

It would have upset their Darling! Moris too much to have given us the team award.

Yes you will. Knocking out Juventus,Chelsea over two legs and comming back from 3-0 at half-time against a world class team is far better than anything the cricket team will ever do.

Yes, but the cricket team represented England and the likes of the BBC go nuts for anything to do with the George's cross.

If the English tiddly winks national team won the World Tiddly Winks Championship it would get team of the year.

in that case JBG do you think chelsea deserved team of the year more than the cricket team?
forget about the money spent. chelsea won the league and carling cup so they deserve it mroe than the cricketers?

personally i think the cricket lot maybe just edged it. we didnt deswerve it for our overall performance. we cant win team of the year based on 5 games (ok, the best 5 games we will ever see lol) and i cant stand chelsea

This poxy award is not worth getting bothered about.
The REAL cups are what count.

Moureen getting manager of the year?

What on earth for?

Ahead of rafa, who won the more prestigous trophy?

I must admit, it must be tough for Moureen to win something when you only have unlimited funds to spend and 3 pleayers over 20m each.

chuckle  :D

I would still have loved liverpool to scoop all the awards but I think the england team edged it really.

25 days to beat one side, not 8+ teams and real powerhouses, perspective please. If it was the world cup it would be worthy of a parade, but the Ashes, palease.

But far be it for me to knock the triumph, I can understand the joy it gave ppl, but seriously as a sporting achievement, it is very much a one off. Look at their  heroics in asia at the moment, hardly world beaters stuff ay ?

LFC should have been recognised for the achievement, but hey not to be. End of.

I think this thread has had it's day.  :sleep

Your wrong Dawson...90% of the worlds population have never even heard of cricket(never mind the english cricket team).I would hazard a guess though that most of those 90% know Liverpool are European Champions(the team in red that the whole world has been talking about since May).Cricket is an irrelevalance in Scotland,Wales and Ireland.Im amazed the cricketers could be considered for any U.K award over Liverpool fc.
