They are a hard team to break down but we should have beat them at the start of the season at the Riverside and I expect us to beat them this time around

Hamann should be fit to play, I can't imagine heavy bruising keeping him out.  Gerrard must stay wide right for now and Traore must be dropped.

                              Reina

Finnan          Carra           Hyypia             Warnock/Riise

Gerrard         Hamann       Alonso             Garcia

                   Crouch       Morientes

Hamann's definatley been ruled out for tommorows match.
instead of hamman i'd use sissoko. otherwise i completely agree with that squad.

i predict a liverpool 2-0 win.
crouch and gerrard.

Think team pretty much picks itself for tomorrow -

Reina
Finnan
Carra
Hyppia
Riise
Sissoko
Alonso
Gerrard
Cisse
Morientes

Crouch needs a rest having played a lot recently.

i'm a bit apprehensive abt 2morows match ...they always prove 2 be a bogey team 4 us ( just like bolton is to arsenal).

And I wouldn't start with Kewell. I would use Crouch and Ciise or Sinama. We need some speed legs to match Crouch's passings.

IMO Crouch has some brains. He has started to play creative football, rather than just control the ball. (Watch him loop the ball over the keeper..thats waht I am saying) By matching him and Ciise we might get some pace and space.

Space because, Crouch will control the ball and the defenders will be marking him tight. So he will definately bring them to a side that will give more room for Ciise or Sinama to make the run. As of now, its only Steven Gerrrad who is making such forward deep run.

If we have another one lad who does the same, we can get goals.

But frankly I am also impressed the way Morientes play recently. He shows such a passion for the game. So I will use him as well. Maybe give him 20- 30 minutes.

On the right Garcia is very good. He switches place with Gerrrad and Finnan. Its a good antidote until we get a permanent RM.

I wont criticize Djimi. He is good. Little do people realize his importance. BUt when it coems to big match, u can see Rafa using him to thight the attack. Especially against Arjen Roben and Duff( the dou keep switching place) But they will never get pass him easily (unless he is not in his position of course.) Djimi is good in the LB but if he move towards CB then its dangerous. Thats my view anyway

Lets see what Rafa has installed for the fans.. Liverpool must win all coming matches

can i just tell epople that when we played middlesborough first day of the season i saw the most disgraceful game i have ever seen.

middlesborough were playing at home, first game of season, and still they played corners to time waste. It was there home ground, first game for chrissakes!!!!

it was a disgrace and i really hope we destroy them today or at least that they dont play the same weaka$$ defensive style the used first day of the season...

ok, now that the rants over i think we need to keep stevie on the right and mori and crouch up front. id love to say cisse but hes nowhere in benitez's plans if u ask me which im gutted about.

Warnock or risse left back no differenc really and i wanna see kewell or garcia left wing.

lets just beat them...come on u reds!!!

Boro are there for the taking today, their defence has been leaking like a sieve this season and it's gotta be the poorest Boro side for a few years. They'll be low on confidence and coming to Anfield to face an in-form 'Pool side who haven't conceded in 9 games, I'll go for 2-0 Garcia & Gerrard but wouldn't be overly surprised if we stick 3 or even 4 past them. C'MON THE POOL! :buttrock
