Milan baros

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Baros is potentially world class but has never really had a decent run in the side.He will never be a 30 goal a season man but will create as many as he scores with a run of games. The reason heskey gets picked ahead of him is without heskey we cannot play long balls up to him. With Baros in the team we would have to play alot more short passing football which houllier seems loath to do.
Smith to Shankly:My thigh is a bit sore, but I think I could play.
Shankly to Fagan:Tell him,Joe.He has got no chance of playing.
Smith to Fagan:Tell him to sod off.It is not his leg,it's mine.
Shankly to Smith:Oh no son.You are wrong, son. It is not your leg.
It is Liverpool Football Club's leg.

I hope Baros is picked ahead of Heskey for the Fulham match.

Baros is an awesome talent no doubt about it and should be in the side consistantly to aid his further progress, the only problem with him is that he sometimes does not look up and gives the final ball away, but this will come with games and experience, he has pace, good movement, flair and a good work ethic, a certain star of the future!

GH underated BAROS as equal as he overated HESKEY
It is BAROS who should be in regular linups
It is HESKEY who should be put in the bench if it's not sold away

I would have Baros ahead of Heskey but I do think Pool fans overrate the chap.

He shows very good potential and rarely delivers anything other than his best but he hasn't had a decent run in the team yet (i.e. 20 games in a row) and until he does we will have to wait and see how he develops.

Baros looks better than Heskey and causes more problems IMO. The goals should come, with Heskey they just don't

baros' goal record for his country is something like 1 in 2. he could potentially be scoring 15-18 a season for us. whether he can play with owen is still a major doubt for me. they don't work off each other. they are making the same runs a lot of the time.

I think Baros is great, he adds more direct play to the team cos he only knows one way and thats forward, he is exciting to watch too which is something Liverpool need, the only thing against him is that he tends to put his head down and run and you can see that this frustrates Owen but his distribution is a lot better this season  :)

He is one of our better players and IMO better than kewell, at least Milan trys his guts out for 60 minutes (would be 90 but some silly bugger doesn't pick him)

He needs games to get goals and confidence. The same has been argued of Heskey but he's had the games and not got the goals. I couldn't believe how many appearances Heskey has made this season, something like 5 goals in 30 league apperances :(
