SUNDERLAND VS LIVERPOOL 19.45 BST - pre match thoughts

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

yeah we haven't even got out of second gear yet. Alonso has supplied two great balls to slice their defence. Think we could do our goal differencea few favours tonight.

if we make it 3, i'd be tempted to take Gerrard off.

For those who are not watching the game and are totally basing their judgment on the scoreline, we haven't exactly been playing well and I would call this a below par performance. I will nevertheless take the goals though.

Thankyou Militia, another question, has Reina work at all? How's Moro doing? and Crouch?

Sunderland is a sorry sight. How could they get promoted playing like that? No fire, no heart. Maybe the lads have just gotten so good that they make Sunderland look like schoolboys? We will score plenty of goals in the 2nd half if we want. I do think that we will try to play carefully and save strenght for more demanding games ahead.

Reina has a got a couple of routine crosses to catch and that's about it. I should say Morientes and Crouch were rather poor and quiet. Many times Carra and Hyypia resorted to hoofing high balls up which were totally fruitless, nod downs were not met to.

Highlight of the half must go to Alonso with his 2 brilliant defence splitting passes. Other than these two flashes of brillance, Liverpool has been poor as a whole.

Reina has had very little to do, he came out and cleared a ball but Sunderland players were offside anyway.

Morientes and Crouch have been relativley quiet, no real chances for them - Moreintes put a header wide which was well challenged and Crouch has had a few good touches, namely form headers down for Moro.

Haven't played too well, but haven't had too really as Sunderland are that bad. Gerrard best player so far for me, or perhaps Xabi with his two fine passes for the goals.

You probably are not watching the game.

Despite being 2-0 up, its actually pretty 50-50 and Sunderland certainly has shown good amounts of determination and spirit. What they're lacking is the skill and ability.

HOLY GEORGIA CROUCH WHEN WILL HE SCORE
