hey reds fans just wanted to know what ye all think of van bommel, he said he is going to talk with spurs! although ive never seen him play ive always heard good things about him, anyone got any opinion on him?

Very good player but he is defensive midfielder, we need creative midfielders, that's the problem. Did you see him yesterday match against Newcastle or international matches with Holland?

no didnt see any of those games, just read about him this morning saying he was going to talk with spurs!
i also read somewhere that houllier is getting cisse (as expected) but also has a midfielder in mind, any idea who it may be? prob some french dude!
what u think of the mexes talk? be great signing i think! :cool:

I am surprised that you havn't see of him.

Well, I don't think Mexes will come to Liverpool because he said he will join them if they are in CL next season, and Cisse is very expensive to buy, I don't know why the earth that GH paid 14m for him, which is madness. So, I have seen him, unfortunately he doesn't impressed me, he could be flop at Anfield next season, we don't know that. GH could buy 2 or 3 players with 14m to spent. But GH is idiot fool!

van Bommel is a class act. He has a steel about him that LFC could do with. He's like Hamann but a lot more creative. I think we should forget Cisse and try persuade Kezman to come aboard. We still need an out and out right winger though.

yeah houllier has wasted a loy of money on players who dont deserve to even sit in the kop never mind play in front of them! but these days 14m wont get u two or three good players who will change a team!
to be honest im optimistic for cisse, i actually played against cisse a few years back, i played for irish youth team (under brian kerr) at under 17 level and we played france in a friendly, i know its going back a few years (5 to be exact) but cisse was playing even though he was younger than 17 i think by a year or two, but he scored twice, and had phenomenal pace and strength!
i honestly do think he will bring something good to anfield, i think people are just a bit worried cos of the sh##e houllier has bought already and the fact cisse is french!
we badly need to give kewell a kick up the a#se and get a decent attacking right midfielder, who will supply quality balls to our frontmen (reason owen is sh##e at the moment i think also) :cool:

Really, you played for Brian Kerr (under 17) well done, lad. That would be very interesting for Liverpool fans to hear what you said about Cisse, thanks for telling us. Cheers mate.

My family's background from Ireland too, still alive there...to be sure!!! They're from Bray near Dublin, what's part of Ireland do you from?

yeah im about 20 mins drive from bray i m just outside the city centre!
yeah i played for brian kerrs youth teams a few times but im plying my soccer trade in the irish leagues and studying hard in college well supposed to be

i really do think cisse should be given a warm welcome and a decent chance cos i know for a fact he is much better than heskey biscan troare diouf and diao
he's a very exciting player with a big drive to win, as shown as he's banned from international football for a few games for losing his head while france 21's were losing to portugal, but i would sooner see him give a s##t and get sent off rather than strolling round the pitch not caring like some of liverpools current players!
by the way smicer had a decent game when he came on against charlton, should have scored the header but was still creative in fairness to him! :cool:
