Its typical of today's society that you have all followed the papers like lambs to the slaughter.

7,000 licences where issued, but only 70 of those where to pubs or clubs. The rest went to supermarkets and the like.

Its good news for people who have parties after a night out, but bad news for the lads from booze2U, booze dot com and any other villians who deliver cases of lager to your door at all hours for £25 a case.

leon has again applied the scalpel of reason to general chat.

but them booze2U fellas are super stars, one phone call and half an hour later, at the most, they're at your door with the goods. i phoned them so regularly they didn't need me to give my address anymore.

i bet they have to put up with some right knobheads from time to time though.

and again leon is wrong.
whilst only 70 may have applied for the 24 hour licence, many more have applied for a more general licence whereas they can change the closing times depending on the situation. oh i do love the smugness i have sometimes :p

I'm with Wooly on this. The nanny state can f*ck itself.

Most places around me are just extending by an hour, if at all.

Not many places in Liverpool seem to open 24 hours, some of them seem to serve alcohol a hour later than usual and thats it, its mostly business as usual :(
