But I dont think the ref favoured Australia , no not at all I thought he refed the game evenly.I remeber one instance where all though he made a meal of it Cahill got pushed in the face and the ref done sweet fa about it.
I commented on the Cahill incident. He got away lucky, but so did Popovic (name??). I think the red did favor Australia, though, just my opinion. That's the only real incident I can think of where a card wasn't shown or anything. I can recall numerous incidents where a card wasn't shown that merited it that favored Australia. Viduka didn't get a yellow for fouling Reguiero from behind hard, Popovic should have been sent off directly no excuses, and I've seen people be sent off for the same type of foul an Australian defender commited against Regueiro near the Australian area. I don't even think he was shown a card. I think the ref was poor, personally. Even if Uruguay won, I would hold the same opinion. Australia didn't get a couple calls either, but I thought it didn't compare. One thing El Stinger and most people who have argued with me failed to realize at first glance, I always respected people's opinions on Uruguay and their play and never said they were angels. I don't like diving and dirty play all around. People have to realize that they can't comment badly on one team, when their team did the same if not worse. This was my point. I don't care about the past, I never denied anything. Just realize you have no room to talk anymore, that's all. I even caught our own Harry Kewell purposely going to step on someone's ankle.
