Lando, it may not be that they beat us to him. It could be that they're willing to pay more for him and we may not value him the same way they do.

Fireontina ?? werent they shoved into the bottom league in Italy because they went bankrupt a few yearrs back?

Must say if we do get him then its a good thing we dont have Igor still here , what with him being a Croat etc........think  Vidic might want to ethnically clense the changing rooms :D :D

I thought he had a clause in his contract allowing him to talk to any club which offered £4.5m?

Not all Croats and Serbs hate one another. They're plenty of teams in Europe[Germany mostly] where there are Croats and Serbs in the team but they don't have any problems.

A.B. it was just a joke ........hence the smiley faces . It just reminded me about the last time Yugoslavia as a country  (after Croatia and Bosnia  seperated )  played in a cup competition .  One of the papers did an article about each team in each group . When it came to Yugoslavia,s group ,  the writer  wrote that Yugoslavia would try and control  and boss the group ..........and all the other groups as well  , thought it was dead funny me self............

I know it was a joke, I just felt like giving you a lesson :D

I've just found out that players in Serie A get tax benefits, meaning that they get more cash at the end. Also at Fiorentina he would be guaranteed a spot in the first team where as here he would have to fight for one.

ye rotten sod :D  :D   

I know that Fiorentina used to have Batistuta play for them a few years back ,but i honestly thought that they were on their knees financially like a lot of italian clubs.
At the moment i would of thought theyd have the same clout as AstonVilla  and so would have no chance of winning trophies :D
