And also theres that Spanish bloke from SSN[forgot his name] that mentioned how Benitez wants a winger who can defend [i.e. Vicente]

We have quality players in most positions. Not like a year or two back when they were mostly 'first choice' average players and their backups were average and we relied on Gerrard and Owen too much.
Given the circumstances, Benitez has signed well. We have options in the squad. Zenden has looked a class signing on a free transfer over the last month. A couple of teething problems but he's shown some excellent form lately. Kewell is showing good touches in his cameo appearances. I'm hoping he'll have an excellent second half of the season.
Not much to complain about tonight, even kept my Number #1 Player I Want At Liverpool Who Plays For Someone Else relatively quiet, Joaquin.
Maybe we could do with a bit of pace up front, even though we have Cisse (who's still to hit his best form for me, even if he is in double figures this season already....), obviously the winger issue is still to be solved, but we are a very hard side to beat. Hamann is still a major force even in his thirties, and we will know about it when he's not there anymore. But Benitez has signed Sissoko who will mature into one hell of a player.
A lot to be hopeful about over the next few years I predict. When Benitez gets to where he wants to be, it's going to be breathtaking. We've already won the biggest trophy there is to win. It's magnitude and prestige is up there with the FIFA World Cup. We are the European Cup holders. We must all be proud. I'm ecstatic tonight. We've qualified for the last sixteen, and we're top of our group with a game to play against Chelsea, where we have everything to gain and absolutely nothing to lose.
