I'm sure that if the people responsible for the violence and destruction in France were for example skin heads they would receive the same condemnation from members of this forum , would you then call that "an excuse for skin head bashing" ? . The fact that the criminal element in this instance happen to be mostly from immigrant families should not shield them from our disapproving comments regarding their current behaviour  . As I stated earlier in this thread , yes they are disadvantaged ,yes they are marginalised in french society and certainly their government needs to address the issue but commiting arson and murder are criminal acts and any right minded person should condem them without hesitation or concern that they might upset the sensibilities of those in here who consider our disapproval of such activities as no more than "an excuse to bash immigrants " .

I appreciate what your saying Woof, infact i agree with you. What i dont agree with is people who manage to turn every political discussion into a witch-hunt of Muslims, foreigners or people of darker skin colour. It seems to be a regular occurence here the last few months.

4 more terrorist attacks within 24  :no
3 in Jordan in hotels owned and frequented by westerners, one suicide bomber even went into a wedding reception being held and blew everyone up :no .
57 dead over 300 injured.
Another 2 suicide bombers have blown up a resturant in Baghdad killing 34 injuring 19 the restuarant is said to be frequented by iraq police.

And congratulations you sh#tbag Labour MPS for voting against the terror law of holding suspects for 90 days, terror loving Omar Bakri is on his way back to britain he said from his hovel in Lebenon. He said he is packing his bags and buying a plane ticket to return to his followers and supporters in the UK.
Continuing his rant, the hate-filled preacher said: “Tony Blair has been given a bloody nose. This is a sign that he should wake up and stop dreaming or he will see an uprising like that in France.”
He can get to feck if that b@stard is aloud back in Britain then surely its like waving a white flag to hate filled preachers that offer absolutly nothing but hate to the country. And whom are sh#t houses brainwashing youngsters to go out and do their dirty work as they never put a bomb around themselves do they?

rediculous really, that the limits of 90 days were thrown out :(

Might have something to do with this Judge.

'Terror tape' given out at mosque

Police have launched an investigation into claims that video tapes and DVDs handed out at mosques in Dewsbury were being used to recruit terrorists.

The tapes, purporting to contain readings from the Koran, were given to Muslims attending two mosques in Savile Town during the weekend's Eid festival.

Local resident Safiq Patel said: "When people played them they realised they were violent jihad videos."

West Yorkshire Police confirmed they were studying one of the tapes.

Mr Patel told BBC News: "These tapes were left at points of public access in the reception areas of the mosques.

"People picked them up thinking they were prayers or readings from the Koran.

"They were shocked to find messages of jihad. It is someone trying to drum up violence, especially among the younger members of the community.

"Somebody is trying to infiltrate their consciences, decision-making and values in the hope of perhaps recruiting the terrorists of the future from this community."

A West Yorkshire Police spokeswoman said: "Members of the local Asian community have brought to our attention these matters.

"On Tuesday we received a copy of the video which is being looked at to establish whether it contains material which would incite violence, racial hatred or acts of terrorism."

The force reiterated its "reassurance message" to the Asian community in Dewsbury, which is still reeling after it emerged that 7 July London bomber Mohammed Siddique Khan came from the town.

Anyone with information about who distributed the tapes at two mosques in South Street, Savile Town, is urged to contact police immediately.

Investigations were at an early stage and anti-terrorist officers from the Metropolitan Police had not yet been involved, the spokeswoman added.

The poor bridegroom who got married yesterday when the suicide bomber blew himself up has just been on the ITV news, felt like crying for him, his mum, dad and his mother and father in law, plus 5 of his friends all got killed in the blast. Its a bloody shame it really really is, imagine that happening on your wedding day, nearly all your family wiped  out.
And the sh#thouses hiding these Al Qaeda suspects have an awful lot to answer for they really do

The guys that blew up the lines on 7/7/ were NOT at on the police radar, 90 days limit would have made no difference to it.

All it would do is make more people hate Britain, they tried it in the 1970s with the IRA and it was the best recruitment incentive ever for them. Learn from your mistakes.

I spend a lot of time in England and I am delighted the laws were rejected.

They are gathered, as every night, on the edge of the car park at the foot of the block. Far enough into the shadows not to be easily seen; close enough to the stairwell to leg it inside if the police come near.

Sylla, Sossa, Karim, Rachid, Mounir and Samir are the names they give. The oldest is 21, the youngest 15. One is an apprentice plumber; another is on work experience as a cook at a cafe in nearby Aulnay-sous-Bois; one is claiming benefit; two are (sort of) at school. Three are "known to the police".

This estate, the Rougemont in Sevran, about 15 miles north of Paris, was one of the first to flare in France's outbreak of rolling urban violence, which has lasted 12 nights and in which nearly 6,000 cars have gone up in flames, dozens of schools, community centres and shops have been wrecked, and 1,500 people arrested.

There are many reasons for the violence. "Because we hate, because we're mad, because we've had it up to here," said Rachid, parka hood up against the cold. "Look around you. This place is :censored:, it's a dump. We have nothing here. There's nothing for us."

Sylla, 18, has a more specific target for his rage. "Les keufs, man, the cops. They're Sarkozy's and Sarkozy must go, he has to shut his mouth, say sorry or just :censored: off. He shows no respect. He calls us animals, he says he'll clean the cités with a power hose. He's made it worse, man. Every car that goes up, that's one more message for him."

The interior minister's forces, of which there are some 9,500 on duty around the country, are loathed. "They harass you, they hassle you, they insult you the whole time, ID checks now, scooter checks next. They call you nigger names," said Karim, 17. "I got caught the other week smoking on the train. OK, you shouldn't smoke on the train. But we get to Aulnay station, there are six cops waiting for us, three cars. They did the whole body search, they had me with my hands on the roof of the car. One said: 'Go back home, Arab. Screw your race'."

Back in Sevran, someone was attempting to set fire to George-Brassens college. Sirens wailed as half a dozen police cars and fire engines screamed along the Avenue André Rousseau.

"It's so easy," said Ali, 16. "You need a beer bottle, a bit of petrol or white spirit, a strip of rag and a lighter. Cars are better, though, when the tank goes. One of you smashes a window, the other lobs the bottle."

Ali's friend was an Arsenal fan: "Thierry Henry, man! But he never scores for France." Does he feel French? "We hate France and France hates us," he spat, refusing to give even his first name. "I don't know what I am. Here's not home; my gran's in Algeria. But in any case France is just :censored: with us. We're like mad dogs, you know? We bite everything we see. Go back to Paris, man."

Sylla summed it up. "We burn because it's the only way to make ourselves heard, because it's solidarity with the rest of the non-citizens in this country, with this whole underclass. Because it feels good to do something with your rage," he said.

"The guys whose cars get torched, they understand. OK, sometimes they do. We have to do this. Our parents, they should understand. They did nothing, they suffered in silence. We don't have a choice. We're sinking in :censored:, and France is standing on our heads. One way or another we're heading for prison. It might as well be for actually doing something."
