Nando fitness boost

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Fantastic news, Morientes doesn't have a major injury and will not miss the Aston Villa game on Saturday. Just a minor knock and he was subbed early on as a precaution. The last thing he needed after playing so well was an injury, great news.

Liverpool today received a fitness boost with the news that striker Fernando Morientes will be available for Premiership action at Aston Villa this weekend.
The Spanish striker was substituted during the Reds' 3-0 victory over Anderlecht after picking up a knee injury, sparking fears he could miss Saturday's game at Villa Park.

No scan was required on Nando's knee and, although he didn't train today, he is expected to join in full training when the squad return to Melwood on Friday.

That is really good news because he has played really well against west ham and anderlecht and now I think we will see the real moro because he has now scored a goal which should boost his confidence hugely. Him and cisse have also looked good together so now they can maybe form a truly great partnership that can get our domestic season back on track.

This is one thing I like about rafa aswell is that he plays it safe with injuries because many managers would have said to moro try and run it off but as soon as a twitch was felt rafa got him straight off.
