Hope there is taker for Nando in Jan which I think would be lucky to be sold at 3Million. I don't blame him for not playing better in EPL because it might be a difficult transition but he is not doing any better in Champions league either. Rafa need to admit the mistake and move forward. I'm sure Mellor should be given a chance.

Well done the lads for the performance over the weekend. It's a shame that you only have one thread on the result when a few days ago when things were going bad, all these gimps came on slating the club and even some suggested that we could get relegated! :alien:

I don't rate Mellor at all... he is that slow he makes Morientes look like Linford Christie.

I think Nando is looking better each game he has played, if he carries on improving and gets a goal he will  come good.  The guy has proven he is world class in every other league he has played in, you don't suddenly become a bad player.  Give him a bit more time and hopefully he will prove us all wrong.
Our job is simple, to support the club, not just parts of the club that are easy to support, but every one who plays a part, that includes ALL players.  We are stronger when we are all walking in the same direction. Walk On

There are for me, two different concepts of speed and pace.

The first kind of speed is the one that has not Morientes, he doesn't run much.

The second kind of speed, is the speed that has Morientes, but until now he hasn't developed. That's the speed a good striker has to turn quickly, change the ball of feet, and shoot. That Speed is gained through games and automatization. If he has games, he will do it. I trust him.

It's also the speed of the player's brain - to be able to think quickly

Like a 'fox in the box' if you will Sabre? Sounds like the attribute that usually accomodates one such as V.Nistelrooy. However, think there is more to Morientes game than V.Kneestillsore though

Yeah, that's right mate. As most people say, a top player cannot turn into a bad one overnight. We've all heard the old adage 'form is temporary, class is permanent' and I believe this can be applied to Morientes. He must start with Cisse on a consistent basis as I believe we should use Crouch for what we bought him for.

We want more goals and this is where they will come from - eventually.

I think Rafa will play Nando more regularly, now he's recovered from his injury.  I feel he just need to get fit.  He did well on Saturday, and worked hard.  A couple more games like that should see him fit again, and I have no doubt he will score goals -   the quality of the cross balls seems to be improving

When we start going on an unbeaten run and knock off this jekyl and hyde team then all of us will be a lot happier but at the moment they have your nerves gone, on paper you think oh we will beat these today.
But it just depends on what liverpool turn up at the moment the sooner we get a winning side on a run, we can start singing praises.
There is no-one anywhere in the world at any stage who is any bigger or any better than this football club.
