Good confidence boosting win

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Was a good win today. West Ham have been playing quite well of late but we have ground out a relatively comfortable victory and lets hope we can string a few results together.

I think tonight's game will be the pivotal point of liverpool's ressurection. Count on it. Big cheers for the team. I think bolo is better suited for LW than kewell. He's got the pace, charisma, and killer instinct. Overall, everybody played like a team (finally) tonight.

Not to take anything away from Bolo but, just before he scored Repka was taken off and the hammers were playing with 3 at the back, so it was more of a tactical mistake by West Ham which Bolo took advantage of, plus he was only on the pich for 20 minutes, Kewell is far superior imo.

yeah bolo aint got pace or dribbling skills so i have to agree with redroots that kewell is alot better especially at the moment.

was it me today or did everyone look like they wanted the ball, battling and tracking back etc, even garcia who did have a good game

Charisma?

This is what charisma is (and Bolo, for me, does not have it!):

A rare personal quality attributed to leaders who arouse fervent popular devotion and enthusiasm.

???
Somehow, I dont quite think so!

Also he doesnt have 'pace' and definetly doesnt offer as much as Kewell on the left (which in itself says alot, I mean what has Harry done for the past two years? Nada, and I'd still prefer him to Zenden!).

For better understanding, a photograph of Carraguer should be placed in the encyclopedia beside  that definition.

Where are all the n0b ed's who have been slagging the team after some dodgy games???  Well played boys.. a couple of goals to end the drought...

I also thought Morientes looked better again, he will start scoring soon
Our job is simple, to support the club, not just parts of the club that are easy to support, but every one who plays a part, that includes ALL players.  We are stronger when we are all walking in the same direction. Walk On

It cracked me up how quick the hammers fans stopped mouthing, I honestly think they thought they we're going to get a result!

I was surprised how good Garcia was, I was expecting another dismal performance. But there he goes again with his Jekyl and Hyde.

Nice to see Finnan back - he just makes Josemi look crapper than he is (if that is possible?! ??? ). The only disappointment was that Morientes didn't get a goal, he definitely deserved it. All in all a performance that shows we are slowly getting back to our best

Agreed, he looked better, and challenged for a lot of possession.  However, I don't know whether it's the fact that he is not truely fit again, but he looked decidely slow.
