Please not Le ***** i hate the cr#p they make, I prefer Reebok there kits are a nice tempature and we won the Worthington Cup in 2001 and 2003, Uefa Cup, Uefa Super Cup and FA Cup with Reebok as sponsors so they have nothing to do with our downfall.

I prefer Umbro for footy kits.  This is probably because of my love of the 85/86 season Umbro 'Crown Paints' kit.  First one i ever owned.

I also agree with Scottbott about the badge.  I understand the relevance of having the other stuff on their, but a simple liver bird would look better.

I always liked the Adidas kit we wore in the late 80s and 90s. I remember watching the Heysel Cup Final against Juve in 85 on the box. I was too young to really appreciate the tragic events in the stands but i remember we wore an Adidas kit for the 1st time during that match - which was weird coz i'm sure we had been wearing umbro kit all that season and the following season! (i may have got that bit wrong - correct me if i am) I just remeber really wanting that kit as soonn as i saw it.

Scottbott, i'm not too sure about that Heysal kit thing.  We were defo Umbro at the time and the following season, so it would have been wierd to use Adidas for a one off.  Can't think thats it's right, but it would be interesting to know for sure.

Can't be arsed digging around for now though!   :D

Thankyou.

I've tried to stick to the red, yellow, black and white colour scheme.

I can't think of anymore combinations

Prefer Nike but wouldn't want to have our kits hung next to manure, besides I would hate to folk out for change shirts every 6 months.

OTOH, what about the grey strip formerly worn by manure? this way Houllier will have more excuses..."my players can't see each other so we keep passing to the opposition"

I always liked the white and black away kit - My 1st ever kit was a dodgy skin-tight Umbro/Hitachi number. My auntie bought me it when i was about 6 or 7. I believe the whole kit came to about 6/7 quid.

Coley - Was bugging me so had a dig around on the net an it seems we did where an Adidas kit for the 1st time during the Heysel cup final

1985-87

In 1985 Liverpool changed their kit manufacturer after a long association with Umbro. The new kit supplier was Adidas and the new kit was actually in use at the end of the 1984-85 season for the fateful Heysel European Cup Final. The first Adidas Liverpool kit was plain red with the three Adidas stripes in white on the shoulders and the sides of the shorts.

The club sponsors remained Crown Paints. The sponsors logo was written on one line at first but it changed in the second season, written on two lines so it became larger (and easier to see on a TV screen).

The away strip returned to white and black in the first season with Adidas (although all-white was used almost as often). However, in 1986-87 the away kit reverted to all-yellow with red trim.
