Benitez cannot grasp the english game - I can't remember a worst start

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

We have now lost to an average Championship side after a disastrous defeat to Fulham at the weekend. This game against Crystal Palace must surely show that Benitez has no real grasp of the English game. Sure he's great on the European front and proven in the Spanish league but that appears to not translate well with the English game.

Also I think Morientes is :censored: now and has had more than enough time to prove himself. :censored: Josemi to.

Ive had a gutfull of all this to be quite frank. If Rafa and his godforsaken Spanish contingent packed up and left tomorrow I wouldnt bat an eyelid. There is some merit in the argument that he took us to European glory but if you look at it over the whole piece its simply not been good enough. The fella has not moved us forward from what he inherited. The team and squad is no better infact its probably worse. I honestly do not know where we go from here. I should think paying £6m for Crouch would be enough to fire him without compensation. The lad is so out of his depth I pity him. For the love god can someone please put us all out of our misery. Enough already  :sniffle

Quite a worry scenario.

This is what happens when you buy unproven players. like Zenden, Sissoko and Crouch.

You are asking for trouble. Crouch Can't even score versus a premiership team. Rafa's taken a big risk buying these players if you ask me, and i don't think, apart from Sabrosa, he is gonna buy many in January.

the thing is, if we carry this sort of form over to the Champions league, then it gonna be all over and Quickly!
Plus we won;t be in the Competition next year as we will have finished 7th.

The worrying thing for me is not the tactics or the teams under par performances or even lack of team spirit cos they can all be altered, its the players he is bringing in. Everyone says roll on january, but i ask myself-will it be more of the same?

I thing that Alfonso Alonso 69 is right. I don't know why Rafa buy Crouch and sell Baros. Rafa things that he is coach a spanis team and not england team. I thing that it's high time Rafa start to play england foodball.

I wouldn't say that he's bought too many Spanish players so much but has bought players that are simply not good enough for Liverpool! It doesn't matter where they come from providing they're good enough! IMO Kewell did ok for 60mins and Morientes was a little unlucky. I know i don't have many a good word to say about Crouch but he was awful tonight. Although to put Sissoko down i think he looks good and can step into Didi boots right no, IMO.

But tonight I agree was just dreadful ok their keeper pulled off some great saves but the last 35 mins we strolled the park. This is just not acceptable by any standards. God I'm feeling low!!!!! :(

I have to agree with that Murphy should never have been sold and the same for Baros until we had a better striker to replace him with.
