CRYSTAL PALACE VS LIVERPOOL - all build up and reaction here

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

As has been said before every body is accountable for what happens on the pitch from the Boss making wrong choices to the brainless othes with no heart running around for their supper.

their is only so much you can cuddle someone who needs confidence this is football supposed to be a mans game!! not feckin kinda garden,I am at a loss to say the least as to what is happening and i dont buy the whole "It was only the league cup" winning mentallity doesn't come from not carring or i can't be bothered,Some need a swift kick up the jacksee and docked wages and on e of the motors tacken away and then see how motivated they can be.

I don't see this attitude changing for know untill players are left on the bench to rot ala Paul ince they need to be shown who the real Gaffa is.

It won't last much longer, you'll see. I admit we are not doing well things, but I still trust the team.

When St Michael started this thread I thought  "Hey that's just me a week ago", warning in the Real Sociedad forum that the King's cup game against Zamora (Division two comparison) should be not played with the lads, and taken seriously. Shame it has happened the same debacle here. THose games with an opponent (besides with history) like Cristal Palace at 300% + a Liverpool with lads and a mixture of the first team that have not played togethere, are very dangerous.

Still, I think talking about sacking Rafa is too much now, Although I'd understand that when season finishes if we get no good performace that decission could be taken (In my book I wouldn't, but that's how football works nowadays). I'm not defending him because he's Spanish, if I knew that with someone else this would change for a lot better I'd sack him right now. I do think that we just need a couple of victories in the EPL in a row, and another good performance in CL, and we'll see the whole picture very different.

In the mean time, cheer up, lads.

WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS, CHAMPIONS OF EUROPE.

But other than that we are one fu*king poor side and im beginning to think that this isnt a poor run, this is a poor side. Crouch has not improved us at all, in fact he has made us worse and the stats and facts show that, we are winning less and scroing less than last season. i was prepered to give him as much time as pos but my patients is wearing thin, if he can look that bad against someone as :censored: as that then questions need asking.

Also Michael Hughes a fuc*ing 87 year old journeyman showed Garcia,Pongolle, potter, kewell and cisse how to play in a wide position, he took the fu*king p!ss out of us tonight.

A good cup run can often cover up a lot of cracks and cover them up that european cup run has, and no one come on here saying we are the champions of europe ffs like someone always does cos if thats your reply to every fu*king defeat then we might as well give this season a miss and come back next season when we are no longer the reigning champions of europe and have everything to play for again cos to many fuc*ing people think we can relax this season and take everything easy cos we are the champions of europe, well fu*k that in my opinion as Champions of Europe we should be working harder than ever, and proving to everyone that we deserve that title and to play like fu*king Champions.

To many players in that team are living off that success and its time they were told the reality of things and that things must improve.

We might be champions of Europe now but take a look at this squad and tell me where we will be in May and tell me it doesnt scare you cos there will be no fu*king fairytale at the end of this season believe me.

I think Rafa needs to bring in somebody like Phil Thompson (possibly Kenny Dalglish) as an assistant.

Poor squad my ar$e. Tonight's squad was good enough to trash Palace and we didn't. Once again we create chances and get nothing at the end. It's not the tactics, its the attitude, the mentality.

I dont recognise this side anymore, and i believe a lot of it is having NO HEART, you can tell who the players are who have it and are proud to play..i dont need to point the 2 players out.  As said earlier LFC are breaking my heart.  (P.S - One for all the crouch fans - There IS a reason why EVERY team he plays against laughs, i really dont like his playing style, and the funny thing is with all that height, if he's under pressure in a jump he's rubbish at headers).

Please someone reasure me as the rate we are going there is going to be no european games next season (Might be good for us)

Well were is the proof that this is a good side, the only proof there is is that we had a good cup run last season. In all honesty how many of are players would command a 1st team place at Chelsea, Arsenal and Manure??? Id say Gerrard defo and Carra and Alonso maybe, admit it this is not good enough, and chances my fu*king pipehole ok 18 shots but 5 on target, they scored in the 65 minute then we had 1 shot against them.

That was b0llocks A.B and you fu*king know it, we dont take chances cos are strikers are plop.

Heres a little poser for you if you offered Paul Jewell the chance to Swop Peter Crouch and Morientes for Jason Roberts and Henri Camara do you think he would.......Nuff said.

Keepers are good.

Defense is average only due to the sheer brilliance of two certain individuals.

Midfield is great

Attack is awful. Cisse is really the only striker you think is gonna score. Right now I would rather have Kanu than Mori or Crouch! He would at least convert 10% of the many chances we had compared to Mori's and Crouch's 0% conversion rate.

I am very worried right now because we have no excuses. We have a fully fit squad that has had time to work together and yet aren't producing even average results. I mean for :censored:sake, Gerrard is our best striker!

same old story... create chances but can't put em away.

Positive thouights... I thought Kewell did alright, but was knackered at the end.

I thought Raven looked good and Morientes looked better than he has done but still 3 or 4 games away from where he should be.
Our job is simple, to support the club, not just parts of the club that are easy to support, but every one who plays a part, that includes ALL players.  We are stronger when we are all walking in the same direction. Walk On
