But is it?  You can't choose your race.  I know that some obese people have medical problems which causes the obesity.  But the majority of overweight people eat too many calories for their daily lifestyles.  This lifestyle can be modified by eating less and exercising more.

So what I'm saying is that in most cases, it a choice.

You are what you are , at the end of the day whether your Black,White ,fat or thin you shouldnt be discriminated against.

Anyway why should we all be thin and exercise , if I want a beer belly ,two chins and live life comfortably thats my choice.
That should have nothing to do with getting a job ,especially an office one.

you are right it shouldnt stop you getting a job but in certain instances it does happen

Like the receptionist at a health farm!

i have a funny story about a fat copper i used to work with, we were in court and the barrister had obviously just got his brief that morning and not read it properley.

the fat copper who shall be known as agent x was giving evidence. basiacally he had chased and caught some teenager. the conersation went such

defence    "constable, you dont mind me saying this but how old are you"?

agent x  "im 43"

defence   "you are also overweight"

agent x  "yes"

defence  "and you were also in full uniform, boots, coat, truncheon etc"

agent x   'yes I was"

defence  " the defendant is 18 years old, very fit, wearing a tracksuit, training shoes and also had a head start on you, tell me, how did you manage to catch my client"?

agent x  " i was driving a vauxhall cavalier at the time"

even judge whickam laughed    :D

im not fat, but since stopping smoking (one year ago) i topped the scales last week at 17 stones. But i have the frame to carry it, plus i do exercise.

however, it is rife that fatties dont get the same breaks as slimmer folk. I'd prefer a meal served by a fattie than a slim person, coz at least the fatty wouldve made sure it tasted good :p
