riise is ten times the player traore is, i just wish he could always play like he did in the 1st half at anderlecht

My point exactly woollback, he is not a liverpool player and with them last ditch tackles is covering himself in every game

He has to many dodgy games compared to good ones and his first half display in the champions league final was like watching a horror film.

well he has another 4 years to improve..... ???
as for the final, traore was vindicated in the second half dundalk. remember clearing his lines?  in fact, though his errors seem frequent. there are times when its a good job he has been playing! not many, but all the same. crucial interventions/blocks etc..i hear what your saying though.
traore has the clumsiest feet ive seen for a left back, he always looks as if the ball wont come out from between them. but when he is coming at right angles at speed and stretches out a telescopic leg to break up an attack....there we see his value. maybe he can make the grade, who knows. but he is a liverpool player at the moment and as such he requires our support. for how long will be decided on the cost of future mistakes to the team. he has quite a repertoire already!

fair enough red37 his second half wasnt that bad and he made one clearnce but because of him it could have been and probably should been closer to 5-0 he was terrible, i,m sure he was targeted by Ancholliti and every others teams manager as  our weak spot

"i,m sure he was targeted by Ancholliti and every others teams manager as  our weak spot "

i know its worrying. especially from rafa's point of view. he can have the wisdom to cover serghino with gerrard in the final, fully aware of the strengths/weakness to be addressed there. yet, clearly is willing in the next instance to persist with gambling his own joker. doesnt add up at times ???

i don like riise when GH bought him from monaco. i can't see any special with him.instead he always lose the ball and can't beat people. but he improved a lot. he perform better when employed as LW.

he's better than warnock at LB. if rafa want to sell riise i hope he can find replacement that 15 times better  than riise.

Risse has took 3 months to get fit, he looked like a feckin doughnut a couple of weeks ago. Kewell and 'Speedy' ( is this nickname official now? ) vying for the left wing birth in future and it appears Djimi & Warnock for left back. Risse?? toodle pip.

stu the red = red37 ?  JBG = honolulu bob ? you lot are spanners, some pyscho s.hit.

Selling risse would be a mistake.... IMO. Risse should be played at leftback. Yeah warnock is better defensively than risse at the moment... but only just.

But risse can improve his defensive game if he plays more games and better coaching.  It might take some time (he is young anyway)... but once he improves his defensive play, he will be an awesome fullback. But that's just my opinion.....

The reason I thought Riise wasnt getting a regular game was because Rafa was saving him for a bit later on  in the season, plus he could be used in various cup comps. Didnt Riise feature in almost everygame last season ?

Maybe I was being naive and he doesnt feature in Rafas plans , which is a bit dissapointing because we do have worse players in the squad , which should be shown the exit door before John. Of course if the rumour is true.
