Your out of order there Greedo. Until he got injured, Kewel wasn't playing that badly. It was a genuine injury and he couldn't play on - simple as. I don't think any pro footballer would give anything less than 100% in the European Cup Final.

I respect your opinion neil mate, but under no circumstances can I agree with it. I once saw Kewell give 100% for 60 minutes in an undeserved 2-1 defeat at home to Arsenal. Aside from that I would struggle to think of a time when he has given even 75%. Don't forget we're not talking about a player who is struggling to find his feet in his 1st season in the prem. This is a prem veteran who has been given more than enough chances to prove himself in a red shirt. Just what does this man have to do to stop you appologists making a case fo him.

Again I have to say Istanbul proved, to me, everything I already knew about the man and it'll take one hell of a turnaround to change my mind about him, he'll always look more at home on MTV cribs than he ever will on the fields of Anfield road!!

Kewell is a lazy b'stard, I know. He is a poor mans Beckham (not as good a footballer, c list celeb wife, shitter hair do e.t.c.) . I just think it was harsh to criticise him for his "final misery". I was at that game, and I booed him off, but I felt a twinge of guilt when I read about his injury in the following days.
I'm not a Harry Kewell fan, but I think we should all get behind him in the hope that he can rediscover the good form that got him to the club in the first place.

If he's still sh.it in a couple of months time - then fu.ck him!!

He only cost 4.5m, in my opinion we only need one quality season out of him to make our money. If he can drive us to league success it'll all be worth it, I say IF because if this injury malarky continues I have to agree we must get rid of him to keep our wage bill healthy

He has had 2 full seasons at Anfield.

His first season, he played well for half of it scoring a lot of goals and then got injured.  Since then it has been widely reported he has never played without some kind of injury.

Hopefully now he has had the operations that he should have had last year but didn't as we could not afford to have anyone else out long term (even thouh in the end he was) I hope and believe he will come good again.

Finally, what is all this :censored: about him legging it towards Dudek at the end of the Champions League final..  that didn't happen.... not on my tv anyway!!!  I have checked my Sky +.  He got there inthe end but was clearly injured.
Our job is simple, to support the club, not just parts of the club that are easy to support, but every one who plays a part, that includes ALL players.  We are stronger when we are all walking in the same direction. Walk On

I don't think anyone can argue with the fact that Kewell has been a disapointment - whether through genuine injury or laziness, only he can truthfully answer that.

But what we can do is give him one last chance.  If he stays injury free, and still doesn't give 100% to the Liverpool he is supposed to have loved as a child, then he is finished.  He has the rest of this season in our eyes (and Rafa's) to prove himself worthy to wear our beloved shirt.

So we need to get behind him, encourage him in here, and from the terraces, so there can be no doubts/excuses for any bad performances he puts in.

We can't sell him until January, so we might as well see what he can do in the meantime.  We're going to need a big squad this season, especially with the World Club Championship in a few weeks.  You never know, he might be handy in the heat (as he's Australian).  I think he's lazy and his hair is an embarrasment so I won't be sad if he does leave in the window...I wouldn't mind throwing him out of it myself!

Definitley give the man a chance, he's said we havent seen the best of him due to his injuries. Now that he is injury free and on his way to 100% fitness lets get behind him and see what he can do.
Hopefully after a solid good run in the team he'll prove all his doubters wrong, if he dosent cut it after that then sell him, but give him his chance first.
